Finding Strength During Hard Times {Bible Journaling Inspiration}

One of the things I love most about Bible journaling is that- much like typical journaling- it allows me to express what I'm feeling at any given time. It inspires me to find verses that suit what I'm going through. And in the process gives me a chance to reflect and pray on it.

Lately, I must admit...I've been having a rough time. The circumstances aren't important, but I will just say that we've been hit with some unexpected troubles being thrown our way and to say it's been a rough few months is quite the understatement. I've been feeling rather down at times, but trying to remain faithful during it all and trust Him that everything will be okay. Taking a look through my recent journaling entries certainly reflects that.

Today I wanted to share a few of my personal journaling entries from the past few weeks, and offer some verses that are perfect for anyone struggling. These are ideal for Bible journaling, or just as words of comfort...

Some Verses for Inspiration:

Hebrews 6:19
We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.

James 1:12
Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

Philippians 4:6-8
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Romans 8:31
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Psalm 50:15
And call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.”

Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

John 16:33
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Such wonderful verses!! I had been feeling stuck in a rut for a VERY long time and, just when I was feeling hopeless, God took me by surprise and opened up a new and exciting door for our family. Hang in there!! Sending prayers your way!
