Choosing Your ONE WORD for 2018

Character image created by Freepik

As January approaches, many of us are hard at work thinking about all of the goals that we hope to accomplish in the new year. Our new year's resolution. And that's great! Why shouldn't we always be trying to focus on bettering ourselves each and every year? Many however have broken away from or added to their resolutions with something a little different: their One Word.

What is One Word?

Simply put, it is a word that you choose to guide you throughout the year. A single word to live by. It is a word to reflect on, a word to pray over, a word to focus your goals towards.

But how do you decide on the right word for you? I must admit I'm still trying to narrow it down to the perfect word myself this year, but today I'm sharing a few tips that might help:

  • First, think of your hope and goals for the new year. Write them down. These can be big or small--- absolutely anything.
  • Think about what is most important. Of all the goals you wrote down is there one that stands out above the rest? Are there several goals that all fall under a related category? Take a long look at everything you've written and consider which of these hold the most meaning for you.
  • Pray about it. Spend some time in conversation with God. Is there something he is laying on your heart? Consider this.
  • Narrow it down to ONE WORD to sum it up. Did you have a lot of goals about organizing your house and your life? Perhaps you might choose 'Simplify'. Do you have goals of putting more effort into your faith--- reading the Bible regularly or starting a prayer journal? Perhaps consider 'Intentional'. For 2017, I really wanted to focus and handing over my stresses and not worrying so much and to allow God to use me where He wanted me. I came to the word ' Surrender'.
  • Write It Down. Once you've decided on your word, write it down. Put it on an index card to carry with you, tape it to your mirror, write it on your Bible, make it into a necklace... whatever works for you to remind you of your word throughout the year.
Do you do One Word each year? What word have you chosen? Why? How are you going to incorporate that throughout 2018?

10 New Year's Resolution Ideas That You Can Actually Stick To

New year resolutions concept with white desk Free Photo
Background image created by Waewkidja - Freepik.com
The promise of a new year is full of possibilities for some people. It’s a fresh start and an opportunity to finally get closer to your ideal life. But for others, it’s more discouraging than anything. From losing 20 pounds to making more money, many people make big resolutions only to give up on them a month later.

“If you’re anything like the average American, you’ve probably made more resolutions than you can count that didn’t last more than a few weeks or months past January 1st,” Jules Schroeder writes in Forbes. “The unfortunate truth is that only 8% of people achieve their New Year’s Resolutions. The rest fall off due to lack of motivation, stress, and resistance to change.”

If this sounds familiar, this year can be different.

No, really. It can be.

The key is to form smaller, attainable resolutions to gain momentum. Then maybe the big stuff will fall into place naturally. The following are some resolution ideas that you can actually follow through on.

  1. Cut down on electronic use.

You might use your phone and laptop more than you would like to. Start by tracking your electronic use and then make small goals to cut down. Eventually, you will have formed a new habit.

  1. Drink less coffee.

The average American drinks 3.1 cups of coffee per day. If just the idea of this gets you all jittery, it might be time to cut down. Try starting with one less cup per day and go from there. Replace that cup with a glass of water for an extra boost.

  1. Walk whenever possible.

Park far away, take the stairs, go for walks on your lunch break -- there are plenty of ways to sneak in some steps. Decide what fits into your routine and make small changes.

  1. Send more letters.

When was the last time you sent a handwritten letter? It’s probably been a while. Try sending one letter to a friend or family member per month. You might realize how lovely this simple act feels.
  1. Stick with your yoga class.

Feeling those Winter aches and pains? About 80% of the U.S. population will experience back pain in their lifetime. If your back is stiff, it could be time to stick with the yoga practice you’ve started and restarted so many times.

  1. Create a morning routine.

You’ve read all about the benefits of waking up early, and now it’s time to put this into practice. Start by adding one new item to your routine each week. Meditation, reading, drinking coffee in silence, and going for a walk are some ideas to get you started.

  1. Read one book per month.

Winter is a great time to start a reading routine. One book per month, or perhaps every two months, is a great way to hold yourself accountable. You might even consider joining a book club.

  1. Practice self love.

Especially for busy moms, it can be difficult to make time for self love and care. Set off time every day to do something just for you, with bigger indulgences sprinkled throughout the month.

  1. Spend more time in nature.

Try committing to one outdoor activity per week. Generally, people who spend time outdoors are more centered and energetic. You might even pick up some outdoor fitness habits. And if you have kids, camping is the perfect family activity! About 85% of people who camp as adults first went camping as kids, so it's a great way to instill a love of nature in your whole family.

  1. Learn one new skill.

What is the skill you have always wanted to learn? Whether it’s knitting or carpentry, this is the year to commit. Sign up for a class or start learning with a friend to hold yourself accountable to this learning.

One of the best ways to actually commit to these changes is to keep a resolution log. By journaling your progress, you can see how you have grown over the year and decide what new goals you want to form for the next year.

And remember that goal achievement is not a black and white path.

“If you make a goal, don't force yourself into an all-or-nothing trap,” Dr. Jacqueline Simon Gunn writes in Huffington Post. “Set the aforementioned small goals and try your best to stick to them. But old habits are hard to break and new ones are hard to sustain; cut yourself a break if you have an off day.”

So, grab your notebook and start jotting down your resolution ideas. By committing to this journey, you are one step closer to being your best self yet.

New Year, New Germs! {A Pfizer Prize Pack Giveaway} #NewYearGerms #SickJustGotReal

Welcome to the Chestnuts Roasting Giveaway Hop brought to you by The Hopping Bloggers!
Each giveaway has a value of a minimum of $15, however some are worth much more. Be sure to enter to win all of them because there is no limit to how many you can win. GOOD LUCK!

This post has been sponsored by Pfizer Consumer Healthcare. All thoughts and reviews are my own.

Tis the season to be... Sickly?

Well, that might not be how the song went originally went, but in my house it never fails that as soon as the holidays are over and we bring in the new year, we're down for the count. I don't know if it's the colder weather or all the family festivities and cousins sharing germs over the holidays, but it happens. Each and every year.

What's a mama to do!?

We could put them in bubbles and lock ourselves inside during the holidays, of course... but well, where's the fun in that!? The reality is when people get together--- especially kids--- we just have to enjoy it and be prepared to deal with anything that may come after with a fully stocked medicine cabinet and/or travel bag!

Thankfully when sick gets real, Pfizer Pediatric has us covered! Today, we're looking at three solutions that I will personally be taking along in my travel bag--- just in case: Children’s Advil®, Children’s Robitussin® and Children’s Dimetapp®.

When it comes to new year sickness, the most common culprit seems to be a fever and a common cold! And let me tell you, fevers are no fun ANY time of the year--- add in traveling--- yikes! Children’s Advil® Suspension is perfect for any child 2 to 11 years old. It helps us to bring the fever down fast and helps to relieve those aches and pains so that we can enjoy the time together! It also comes in several great tasting varieties that your children are sure to love including:  Sugar-free Dye-free Berry, Bubble Gum, Grape, Blue Raspberry, Fruit and Dye-Free White Grape flavors. Have a younger child? Infants’ Advil® White Grape is ideal for children 6-23 months!

The next most common woe this time of year are that annoying cough and chest congestion. No fun! It makes the little ones feel miserable and keeps them awake all night long--- which means NO one gets any rest! Forget about the silent nights or sleeping in during winter break! For that, there are two great options.  First up, Children's Robitussin® DM Day/Night Pack (Children’s Robitussin® Cough & Chest Congestion and Children’s Robitussin® Nighttime Cough). The non-drowsy daytime formula helps break up chest congestion during the day for kids ages 4+, while the nighttime formula works on children ages 6+ to relieve cough and runny nose while helping kids to get the much needed rest they need to fight off the sickness!

Children’s Dimetapp® Cold & Cough is also great for children ages 6+ to tackle stuffy and runny noses and relieve cough--- without the drowsiness during the day!

No matter what New Year Germs come our way, these products are sure to have our kids back on their feet and enjoying their vacation in no time at all!

It is important to remember to always read and keep the cartons for complete warnings and dosing information on Pfizer Pediatric products and to use as directed.

4 New Years Resolutions for Every Mom to Try

Even though it may seem hard to believe, 2018 is right around the corner. It seems like this year has flown by, and all of a sudden it is time for the holidays and prepping for the new year ahead. And you know that that means -- it is time to make your 2018 new year’s resolutions before the clock strikes midnight on December 31.

However, as a mother, it is all too easy to forget about your needs to concentrate on those of others. But maybe that’s where you should start; putting your needs above your child’s or your spouses once in awhile. We know this may be hard, so we have created a simple list of some new year’s resolutions to try out come January, made especially with mothers in mind. So take a gander and hopefully this will be a leverage point and give you some inspiration for January!

Start a recycling program in your house
Now, you may be wondering why this is on the list when you most likely already have a recycling program in place. Unfortunately, that little blue bin that is probably sitting in your garage may not be cutting it. Humans, especially kids!, produce an incredible a ton of trash, averaging over four pounds of garbage every single day. When you add this up, that is a staggering 1,460 pounds of trash every year. Chances are, a lot of the stuff headed into the garbage pin can be recycled, so just imagine the environmental impact that can happen when you establish a recycling program in your home.

The easiest way to do this is to put a recycling bin on every floor of your home for ease of convenience. Then, we recommend taking a good look at your trash and analyzing what can probably be recycled instead of thrown away. A couple of ideas include:
  • Once broken, plastic toys can be recycled
  • Once read, those children books can be recycled or given away to charity
  • When your kids outgrow their clothing, consider using the fabric scraps for dusting cloths and even cutting them open to be tarps when having arts and crafts.
  • Think about composting! All your food waste adds up over time, and composting can create great organic matter to make your garden shine.

Go on a digital detox

In the digital age we live in, this may be easier said than done. It is so easy to get caught up in social media feeds, the news, and always wanting to have a camera on you as a way to grab a cute photo of your kid. But staring at a blue screen all day not only takes you away from the moment, but really can put a significant damper on your mood. Plus, there are plenty of studies that prove excess smartphone use can lead to an increase in stress, so put the phone down! Considering that 43% of all adults suffer adverse health effects from stress, you and your family can really benefit from a step back from the screen. And it doesn’t have to be a complete detox, it can simply be stepping away from all things technology while you go for a walk, spending an hour playing board games as a family, or even swearing off social media after dinnertime.

Consider a staycation

It may be hard to budget a full-blown vacation when you have small kids, so start small by considering a staycation! Simply taking a break from your every-day life will leave you refreshed, recharged, and ready to go. Considering that 96% of American workers say vacation time is important to them, and we know moms are the busiest workers of all!, a few days with some peace and quiet may be all you need to tackle the responsibilities of raising a family and keeping your home in good standing order.
Call in a babysitter or your parents or in-laws for reinforcements, and get ready for some much needed time to yourself.

Establish a new and improved take on dieting

A full 45 million Americans go on a diet every year. A good amount of these diets aren’t as s uccessful simply because they are hard to stick too. Many dieters tend to look at dieting in an unhealthy way; by limiting their calorie intake and sticking to a fad diet. What you should do instead, however, is simply change your lifestyle. If you are looking to lose weight, lower your cholesterol, or try to stay looking flawless in your favorite pair of jeans, then it all starts with changing your everyday habits. This includes limiting sugar, refined carbs, and opting for vegetables and fruits as snacks. So, don’t think of a diet as something that constricts you, think of it as a new world of changes that will bring forth a better you!

While each new year’s resolution can differ, we think these four ideas are great leverage points to get you started. Just remember -- don’t be too hard on yourself, and enjoy what’s to come in the new year!

One Christmas Bear {A Book Review} #HolidayGiftGuide2017

**Book received for consideration. All thoughts are 100% my own.

In my house, we LOVE Christmas books. For me, this started when I was a child. We had a collection of various Christmas books that we could read each year... even throughout the years as we outgrew the picture books, my mom kept these books, and now all of the grand kids have their chance to read them.

I loved this tradition that we had, and decided that it was something that I really wanted to continue in my own family with my children, and so we too have a growing collection of holiday favorites. Each year, I try to add a few more books to the collection so that it stays new and fresh.

Today, I'm excited to share with you our newest addition, One Christmas Bear:

Count the Blessings of Christmas

Follow the merry adventures of a polar bear and the artic animals as they enjoy winter fun! From crunchy candy canes and frosty snowballs to friends to play with and a family to love, your little one will enjoy counting God’s wonderful gifts.

Anne Vittur Kennedy has been delighting young children with her humorous and playful books for thirty years. Her awards include American Library Association’s Notable Books List, Teacher’s Choice, The Green Earth Book Award, and The Green Prize for Sustainable Literature.

This is such a sweet little book! This is a board book perfect for the little ones. Not only do we get to see some great winter and Christmas scenes, but we practice our numbers along the way! It has a great flow that kids will want to read again and again... my 4-year-old certainly did! Christmas is such a wonderful, magical time and this book is a really fun way to show that. It's beautifully illustrated and has certainly become a new favorite in my home so far this holiday season.

It is now available to purchase at your favorite book retailers.

Put the Pep Back in Your Mornings with a Deal on Morning Pep Prenatal! #deal

**This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Morning Pep. All thoughts are 100% my own.
When you discover that you are having a new baby--- or decide that you intend to try--- one of the first things your doctor will recommend is that you start taking a prenatal vitamin. We all know the importance of these in making sure that mom and baby are getting absolutely everything they need.

But I must be 100% honest... I absolutely hated taking prenatal vitamins with both of my children. First and foremost, I struggle to swallow pills and it seemed as though they just could not get any larger. Even the gummy versions just did not seem to agree with me. Every time I would take them I'd be filled with nausea that would last all day long. There had to be a better way, right?

Enter Morning Pep.

Morning Pep certainly sounds a whole lot better than morning sickness, am I right? As it should. You see, not only is Morning Pep crafted to provide all the essential nutrients necessary for expecting and nursing mothers to provide optimum health for mom and baby... it's also designed to help with morning sickness and nausea as well.

Say what!? Where or where was this prenatal during my pregnancies!? I was never one to have major morning sickness... but the nausea... oh boy. It was enough to keep you in bed all day. Getting anything done? Forget it! And while that might be okay with a first baby, if you have a little one already, you just cannot afford to be down for the count.

And I know that my experience with prenatal induced nausea was not 100% unique to me. I have spoken with several other experienced mamas and mamas to be that experienced the same. Many of us had to opt not to take prenatal vitamins at all. Not ideal, but when everything else has failed... what are you going to do? Morning Pep is truly the perfect solution. The easy to swallow tablets are odorless and tasteless so that they do not cause those side effects like nausea that so many experience with other brands.

But more importantly, it's a very effective supplement. Take a look at these quick facts that set Morning Pep apart from other prenatal vitamins on the market:
  • Formulated for maximum effectiveness to support brain, eye and nervous system function.
  • Folic acid comes in the form L-Methyl Folate. This is the most bioavailable and easy to absorb folic acid or folate.
  • Includes 25 MG of superior probiotics and enzymes.
  • Promotes a healthy pregnancy, breast health, estrogen levels AND immune system.
  • Helps to ease nausea and may help support hormone related mood swings.

Whether you have vitamin induced nausea or are looking for a solution to reduce or prevent nausea/morning sickness in general, Morning Pep is a must try!

And right now you can save 10% on a 4 month supply! Use the code RANDIKAYE at checkout to save! Head on over to place your order now, and enjoy the holidays without morning sickness hanging over your head.

Did you or do you experience nausea or morning sickness during pregnancy? How could Morning Pep help you?

Make It a Family Movie Night with an Altar Egos FLASH Giveaway! #AltarEgosCmasL3

**Digital movie received for consideration. All thoughts are 100% my own.

A few months ago, I shared a new family film with you called Altar Egos. Not ringing a bell? Here's a recap:

Desperate to see their church grow, Pastor John (Robert Amaya, MOM’S NIGHT OUT, COURAGEOUS) and wife Betsy (Erin Bethea, FIREPROOF) do the unthinkable and change their church Christmas pageant. Flabbergasted, elderly choir director Mary Margaret (Sallie Wanchisn) leads the choir to boycott. Facing termination, Pastor John resorts to disguising himself as an old man to bridge the generation gap, win over Mary, and lead the choir back to the church. When he discovers that the wounds run deeper than he first suspected, Pastor John must learn to love the unlovable or risk the ruin of his church and family. Also stars Victoria Jackson (SNL).

Sounds pretty fun, right? And of course with the holiday season upon us... what better time is there to curl up on the couch with some nice hot cocoa, and a film that is safe for the entire family to enjoy together? Altar Egos is certainly that! Check out this exclusive sneak peak:

Great news! Altar Egos is now available on DVD and to purchase/rent digitally! So, grab some popcorn and some matching family jammies and welcome this fun film into your holiday traditions! Find your copy at the links below:

The Perfect Bible for Note Taking {A Journaling Bible Review}

**Bible received for consideration. Post contains affiliate links. All thoughts are 100% my own.

Most often when I write about Bible journaling, I am referring to ART journaling--- paint, stickers, drawing, etc in your Bible. As a creative person, that's a type of journaling that I personally fell in love with and do myself.

Still, it's not for everyone. Maybe you're not comfortable with the idea of painting, or maybe art just isn't your thing. And you know what? That's totally fine. But even if you aren't into THAT type of Bible journaling, that doesn't mean that you cannot benefit from a journaling Bible. You see, art is not the only thing they are great for--- but for prayer journaling and taking sermon/bible study notes as well.

Today, I'm excited to introduce you a journaling Bible that is ideal for this purpose- CSB Notetaking Bible:

The CSB Notetaking Bible is designed to enhance personal Bible study as well as preparation for teaching and preaching. This Bible contains a single-column setting, and abundant space is provided with a 1.75 inch notetaking space on each page to make observations, record insights, raise questions, and suggest to yourself additional exploration of the text.

Features inlcude: Smyth-sewn binding, Presentation page, single-column text, 1.75 inch margins for notetaking, 8-point type, One-year Bible Reading Plan, Concordance, Full-color maps, and more.

The CSB Notetaking Bible features the highly readable, highly reliable text of the Christian Standard Bible (CSB). The CSB stays as literal as possible to the Bible's original meaning without sacrificing clarity, making it easier to engage with Scripture's life-transforming message and to share it with others.

First and foremost, can we admire the beauty of this Bible? It is gorgeous. It's design is beautiful without being over the top, and while it is true we shouldn't judge a book by its cover, I must admit I like pretty things. But onto the inside...

I mentioned above that this was a more ideal Bible for notetaking... but what makes it so? While the large majority of journaling Bibles I have found have lined margined, they are done so very lightly. For art journaling this is GREAT. Those subtle lines can be easily covered and not overly distracted. The lines in this Bible are much darker--- truly perfect for writing in the margins! Whether it's noting your prayers while you read, or taking notes as you study your Bible, this is truly ideal.

It's also a great translation. I must admit CSB is new to me, but the more I read it, the more I enjoy it. It is a very readable translation that still allows us to see the true meaning of the words we're reading. Clarity is everything when studying the Bible so I believe this is a great translation for that.

If you're looking for a great Bible JUST for notes and thoughts... this is the journaling Bible for YOU! It is available to purchase now at your favorite Christian book retailers.

Encouraging Kids to Eat Healthy with #SandwichBrosFan #ad

This is a sponsored post with Sandwich Bros and BraVoMark. All opinions are mine

We all know the importance of eating healthy for both kids and adults alike... but let's be honest, it's a whole lot easier said than done. We may know that those cookies and brownies aren't great for us, but... they look and taste so delicious! Am I right?

Even as adults it can be hard to make the proper food choices, which is why it's so important to teach kids at a young age to make better for them food choices. They will take these habits with them as they grow, making it much easier to make the right choices regarding their food as they become adults and do their own shopping and cooking.

Still... how do we encourage kids to eat healthy? Today I'm sharing a few simple tricks!

  • Keep Them Involved. Whether it's teaching them to cook or helping them start their very own vegetable gardens, kids are going to be more excited when they play a part!
  • Give Them Choices. I've found that with my kids, they might complain if I just hand them what I want them to eat... choices makes it more fun for them. Give them healthier food choices, and they'll still feel like they're getting their way!
  • Lead By Example. Kids model what they see, so let them see you willing and happy to eat better for you options!
  • Allow Treats. If you eat healthy most of the time, it IS okay to allow a treat now and again too.
  • Make It Fun. Just because it's healthy, doesn't mean it can't be fun too! Make fun faces out of vegetables or create other fun themed plates!
  • Find Healthier Alternatives to Kid Favorites. Does your kid love chicken nuggets? Find healthier options or make them yourself. You get the idea.
For my son, burgers and sandwiches are kind of his things. He would love if we could just run through a drive through every single day for a juicy cheeseburger. But... that's not good for us! However, we recently found a company that offers burgers that are quick and easy... but a MUCH healthier alternative to drive throughs, Sandwich Bros.

Sandwich Bros. offer protein packed sandwiches that are crafted from fresh-baked flatbread pockets and feature premium ingredients: whole eggs, all natural sausage, 100% Angus beef, all white chicken and REAL American cheese. They use all local meats and cheese from Wisconsin. Not only are they wholesome, they're delicious too... they're tagline is 'Really....Really Tasty!®', and after just one bite, my kids completely understood why! They ate them up.

For my son, these are a great after school snack. They are quick and easy enough that he can pop them in the microwave and make his own. But with a side salad or some great veggies, they are great for lunch too! He gets the great burger or chicken taste he loves--- without any of the bad that he doesn't!

But these aren't just great for kids--- they truly taste great enough that EVERYONE in the family, young and old, can enjoy them just the same and enjoy doing so!

Ready to stock your freezer? Nationally available at Kroger, Costco, Sams and more. Visit here to find them in your area: http://www.sandwichbros.com/where-to- buy/

And because you know I love a good deal, head on over here for a printable coupon and more great offers: www.SandwichBros.com/offers

The Perfect Gift for the Foodie on Your List {A ToBox USA Coupon Code} #HolidayGiftGuide2017

***Product received for consideration. All thoughts are 100% my own.

Do you have someone who loves to cook on your list?

Are you stuck on the perfect gift for them?

There are so many great kitchen gadgets and do dads out there that it can be a little overwhelming to decide. I get it--- I'm a big fan of kitchen related gifts myself. But with all the different gadgets out there, nothing can truly beat the essentials. There are many must haves for the kitchen out there, but perhaps none are more important than a GOOD knife.

I'm a frugal shopper and for many things, I find myself reaching for the cheapest possible options. And for some things, this is just fine. Is the $1 measuring cup going to measure any differently than the $20 one? No, not even a little. But knives? That's a completely different story. When my husband and I got married we could not afford much, so we had super cheap knives, and they caused nothing but frustration. They slipped, they didn't cut well... they just showed that they were not great quality. If there is ONE thing that every kitchen enthusiast must have--- it's a great knife.

But that still doesn't mean you have to spend a ton to get a great quality. ToBox USA aimed to prove that. LA based and formed by a team of foodies, self proclaimed chefs and jet-setters from around the Globe, at ToBox they are constantly striving to put quality first. The products are affordable, but the quality still fantastic! I was recently sent me their Carbon Steel Chef Knife to experience for myself.

Not only does this knife look beautiful in it's design, but it WORKS! It cuts through anything I need it to easily so I'm not wasting time in the kitchen! It slices through without any added effort. That's a huge plus for me, but again... being on a budget, I appreciate even more that it's still very affordable in comparison to other knives of the same quality. It retails at just $21.99, and even includes a lifetime warranty!

As if the price as it were weren't great enough, now you can save even MORE! Use the code RANDIKAYE to receive 30% off! Amazing, right?

If you're looking for the right gift for the foodie on your list, this knife is a fantastic choice. Head on over to Amazon to purchase yours today!

Staying Stylish with Candace Cameron Bure {A Book Review}

*** Book received for consideration. Post contains affiliate links. All thoughts are 100% my own.
Those who know me well know that I am a HUGE Candace Cameron Bure fan.

That all started at a very young age. I was just a month old when Full House first premiered so I literally grew up watching it. It was my favorite show as a child, so needless to say when Fuller House premiered I could not wait to watch it. Aside from and before that, I had continued to be a fan through her Hallmark movies, Dancing with the Stars, The View, and of course... her fantastic books. Not only did I enjoy her acting, but I loved her willingness to openly and proudly speak about her faith. That's not something that's easy to do in Hollywood, is it?

And if I were to be completely honest, I've admired her style too!

While some might not have always agreed with everything she's worn, I have always felt that she was a great example of dressing with class. As someone who loves fashion but still likes to dress with my view of modesty, I can certainly respect that! Needless to say, I could not wait to get my hands on her new book- Staying Stylish:

Candace Cameron Bure, best known as D.J. Tanner from Full House and Fuller House and a New York Times bestselling author, whose faith and wit have delighted audiences for decades, lets you in on her best-kept secrets for Staying Stylish. This gorgeous manual for beauty, style, health, and spiritual wellness will bring all you need to live your most stylish life.

As an actress, producer, New York Times bestselling author, and inspirational speaker, Candace Cameron Bure has spent her entire life in the spotlight, and she is well aware of the pressures women face. Throughout her career, Candace has balanced her faith, family, and passion for work and found her spot as a role model to women of all ages—and as a style icon.

In her brand-new book Staying Stylish, Candace invites you behind the scenes of her day-to-day life and shares more than 100 tips and tricks for looking and feeling your best—both inside and out. Nurture your body, style, and soul as you read through this beautiful book full of photos, insider secrets, and exciting ideas to revamp your own life into its best possible version. She offers her insight into balance, spiritual growth, and looking great while doing it all.

Staying Stylish topics will include personal style, fresh hair and makeup for any age, a well-balanced diet and fitness regime, and a well-nourished spirit.

As the title suggests, this book is all about STYLE! Now, personally, this is a topic that really interests me so I truly enjoyed it... we get a look at some styling and beauty tips and tricks, with recommendations on some of Candice's favorite products. Now, let's be honest... celebrities have a little bit of an advantage when it comes to beauty, right? They have access to the best products that us 'regular' folks don't... but I love that she shares different options for different budgets. She offers ideas that are more costly for those that can afford them, but also gives drugstore options for those of us who need to stay in a smaller budget. It's not as much about WHICH products are used, but the routine and finding the right ones for you. Aside from looking and feeling your best on the outside, she also shares tips for feeling good inside too!

This book might not be for everyone--- if you don't much care about fashion, makeup or fitness, you might find it's one you prefer to skip (in which case, I'd highly recommend checking out one of her previous books instead). If you do enjoy these things, or WANT to enjoy them more but aren't sure where to start, this book is certainly worth checking out. It's a lighthearted read that you can come back to time and time again for more inspiration.

Staying Stylish is available to purchase now at your favorite book retailers.

A Look at The Miracle Season: Coming April 2018 #LiveLikeLine

There's just something great about a feel good sports movie, isn't there? You don't even have to be a fan of the sport to enjoy a story of perseverance through great challenges. Perhaps that's why year after year, we head to the theater to see the next one! I am particularly fond of those true stories as they truly do remind us that even in hard times, good can happen. They are not just stories made up to help us feel better, but proof of how much we as individuals can push through. That's something worth celebrating, right?

Looking for a great new inspirational sports film!? Take a look at the new upcoming movie The Miracle Season:

Based on the inspiring true story of West High School girls' volleyball team.  After the tragic death of the school's star player Caroline "Line" Found, the remaining team players must band together under the guidance of their tough-love coach in hope of winning the state championship.
