Ultimate Blog Party 2013

Today, I am joining in on the 2013 Ultimate Blog Party!! If you're a blogger, this is a fun way to link up your blog and meet lots of other great bloggers!! All you have to do is introduce yourself. With all the new readers joining in here at A Modern Day Fairy Tale in the past few weeks, it seems like a great time for an updated intro post anyway!

Soo...welcome to A Modern Day Fairy Tale! My name is Randi, and the first thing you should know about me is that I am absolutely horrible at writing intros! I'm never truly sure where to begin or what you really want to know about me! So I'll start with the basics: I am 25 years old (26 in August), a Christian and married to my prince charming, Matt- a U.S. Marine. Together we have a wonderful little boy Shaun-diagnosed with Autism at age 2. He is 5 now (6 in August) and happens to be the sweetest, funniest and smartest little boy I know! In August (I know, I know...we like August around here!), we will be welcoming baby #2 into our family, a sweet baby girl whom will be named Finley Grace. I am a stay at home mom and my family is my everything. I'm a little old-fashioned in many ways. I love vintage things- particularly anything from the 50s. I'm very passionate about the things that matter most to me and love sharing that passion with others.

Here on my blog, I write about a little bit of everything! I write about our life as a military family- surviving moves, deployments and most recently recruiting duty!! I write about my little man and life with Autism- his struggles, his triumphs, the unique little things that make us love him so very much. I write about this pregnancy and the preparations for baby #2. I write about occasional craft or DIY projects or recipes I've tried- not that I claim to be great at any of the above, but I try. I write review and offer giveaways that are relevant to myself and you, my lovely readers...which right now means a lot of things for the babies/kids! I write about my faith. I write about saving money and my personal addiction to thrift shopping. I write about fashion. Basically, if it's relevant to my life and my family, I write about it all...this blog is truly an eclectic mix of all things that make up my life and family!

  8. I love that you describe yourself as liking old fashioned things... I think it's a trend these days as mothers look back in time to create the best futures for our children.
