Life Via Instagram {11/30}

These are actually from the last few weeks, since I didn't post last week! You will be happy to know that there is a lot of Shaun cuteness to share this time!!

This is what we call his 'Home Alone face'. He says this is his new favorite movie, and the best Christmas movie ever....I suppose that explains why we've watched it at LEAST once a day since we bought it a few weeks ago!! Seriously though, how cute is that face?

I may or may not have an issue with over packing (or an excess of Thirty-One...if there were such a thing!). This was for 4 days, home for Thanksgiving!

Mommy bought herself a new scarf and earmuffs set, but Shaun has taken them over. Let's be honest...he looks much cuter with them than I do anyway!!

I have a love/hate relationship with Legos... I love them because they make my little man happy, and is one way we really get to see him use his imagination with his creative creations...but cleaning them, that I'm not a fan of!! I'm sure mommies of other Lego fans can relate! In my caption for this photo on Instagram, I asked Santa for a Toydozer! Have you seen them yet? They're genius (and created my a mom, of course!)

At Wal-Mart a few days ago, Shaun spotted this Angry Birds Star Wars poster and had to have it! Star Wars is his newest obsession thanks to this new game! He now thinks he has the coolest room of any 5 year old in the world. Mommy thinks he might be right!

I finally got around to organizing all the toys in the playroom and bedroom...something I'd been avoiding to be entirely honest. In retrospect, I should have taken before and after pictures...it was quite a difference. Before, all Shaun's tracks were downstairs and other random toys in storage tubs. The toy organizer was actually upstairs in his room, but he had brought all the bins downstairs...it was crazy. I went through and tossed some broken toys out, moved the more baby-ish toys to what will be the nursery, moved the tracks upstairs to his closet and the storage thing down. I also bought these rope tubs from Wal-Mart. At $3.50 each, it was a cheap solution and looks much better too! So far it has remained fairly organized, so let's hope it stays that way...until Christmas when he brings in loads of new toys anyway! Oh my!

Did any other Dayspring fans shop the super sale over the weekend? I had been debating this for a year now, and when I saw it was part of the sale, I couldn't resist!! It's really a cardholder, but Shaun had other plans, as you can see...now if I can only figure out where to hang it!!

Yes, that is a huge stack of uncut, unexpired coupon inserts. And proof that my hubby has the best poolees in the history of the Marine Corps. One of them brought these for me...how awesome is that? Of course, now I have the fun task of clipping all of these!! At least the savings will be worth it!!

Did I mention Star Wars was a new obsession? And here's your proof. He's just like his Daddy!!
After this was taken, we went to see Santa at the mall right by our house...for the first of what will be many, many time. The idea was that he could tell Santa that he wanted Star Wars toys for Christmas, as he'd been telling mommy in Toys R Us, but once we got there all he would tell Santa was that he wanted a lollipop...which of course Santa gave him!! Silly boy!

Celebrity Sightings

I know what you're thinking...another blog post today!? I saw this fun linkup on another blog I follow, and had to join the fun! It's all about celebrity sightings!! Unfortunately, I don't have pictures for most of these (at my house anyway!), so you'll have to take my word for it!!

I suppose my first celebrity meeting was Daryl Singletary. Does anyone even know who that is? He was a country singer back in the 90s...not sure if he was ever really that popular. Anyway, when I was younger I really disliked my name. Why? Because it was unusual, in my life I have only met a few other Randis (and of course, most of those were male...only ONE female!) What does this have to do with Daryl Singletary? Well, because of my this, I was drawn to Randy Travis...finally someone who shared my name! I was obsessed. So when I was in kindergarten my parents took me to my very first concert. Randy Travis and Sammy Kershaw. Daryl Singletary was the opening act, and after the concert was signing autographs. I'm sure my mom has pictures of this somewhere, but like I said...none here!

The next was a brief sighting of one of the Kinleys (a country group) during a tour of the Grand Ol' Opry. She rushed into the dressing room before we could get autographs or pictures or anything.

The next one really wasn't so much a celebrity sighting, so much as it was walking on a movie set. Have you heard of the movie Hard Rain? Well, if you have, you might know it was partly filmed in the little town of Huntingburg, IN (as was A League of Their Own!). Specifically, it was filmed on 4th Street, where my mom used to work! As a matter of fact, some of the crew members used to come into the deli and eat every day...she probably still has a crew hat somewhere, though at the time of filming it was known as, 'The Flood'. Anyway, the entire street was transformed...sandbags brought in and everything...and we got to see it all! It was a really fun experience! Personally, I never saw any of the cast, but still pretty cool!

Okay, here's the part where you might think I'm a bit of a dork! Ha! When I was in junior high, I was in love...with Aaron Carter. And Chris Trousdale (from Dreamstreet, he also fairly recently guest starred in Shake It Up on Disney Channel). And my best friend of the time, Katie was in love with Jesse McCartney (I don't really need to tell you who that is, but for those who didn't know, he started out in Dreamstreet as well). So, when they came to a town near us...we had to go! I have to say of all the concerts I've been to, this was probably the best- just because of our amazing seats! We were in I think the 12th row, on the floor! It was pretty awesome to our preteen selves! On top of all that, Dreamstreet was also doing a signing beforehand, so of course we had to go to that too. It was winter- February I think...and ridiculously cold! (Unless I'm totally crazy and remembering this wrong!) But we waited for at least an hour with girls who had traveled hours to be there. Girls were coming out crying- it was crazy! (We did not cry, for the record!) After that long wait, we got to meet all of the guys. I may update this tomorrow with pictures, but I'm too tired to drag out my scanner and try to find them now! It was a dream come true at the time! One of the things I remember most from that day was the girls in front of us breaking out a ruler and measuring Chris's hair...which was 2 inches high if I recall correctly. After the concert we also got to meet Lindsay Pagano (who sang a song on the old AOL commercials), but honestly, that was not NEARLY as exciting!

Now onto some more recent sightings (with pictures). After I moved to California, people were always asking if I'd seen any celebrities, and honestly for the first few years I never did. In fact when my sister came to visit a few years ago, I told her as much. Then we went to Hollywood. Now, we'd been to Hollywood many times and not once had we even thought we spotted someone. What we didn't know before heading out that day was that it was the weekend of the Academy Awards!!! So, not only did we get to see one celebrity- we saw three!!! First up was Sheri Shepard. I'm a huge fan of The View, so I was super excited! We waved and she gave us a huge smile and wave back. Everything was blocked off so we didn't get to meet her, but it was still really neat. Next up- Mr. Jay. One of my favorite shows in high school was America's Next Top Model so that was pretty exciting too. And finally, Ryan Seacrest! What a fun experience for my sister's first visit to California, right?

I was too distracted when she was actually smiling and waving at us to remember to snap a photo, so this was the best I could get!

Mr Jay!!

We didn't get nearly as clear of a view of Ryan Seacrest, and my camera didn't want to focus on HIM, so this was the best I could get...still very clear who it is though!

The final sighting is one I believe I've mentioned before- Paul Walker. Yes, that's right, I said Paul Walker. During Matt's last deployment, my sister in law and I made a trip to the LAX to pick up a friend of hers. We were waiting by the baggage claim for his flight, and a guy in a hoodie walked by us...I looked at my sister in law, she looked back at me...it was PAUL WALKER! He had been on the same flight! Crazy, right? As I said, he was wearing a hoodie and seemed like he was trying to be inconspicuous so we thought it best not to draw attention by asking for pictures or autographs. (Though I did try to sneak one with my phone as he was leaving and completely missed him!) The funny thing was, he noticed us notice him and kept looking in our direction as though he were waiting for us to say or do something...either that or he thought we were cute...let's go with that theory, shall we?

And those are my celebrity sightings! What about you? Feel free to share in the comments, or if your a blogger, link up your own post!!

Something For The Kids: Discovery Toys {Review, Discount}

I am really excited about the latest company on the Holiday Gift Guide. As I had said before I started, my main goal was to focus on small businesses and direct sales companies for these reviews. There are truly a ton of great direct sales companies, and a little something for everyone on your list, but it does seem that the majority are geared towards adults...that's why I am so excited to announce today's sponsor: Cindy Madison, Discovery Toys Consultant!!

If you haven't heard of Discovery Toys, it is a wonderful education/developmental toy company. They put it well on their website:

A Discovery Toys product is not a typical educational toy that you can find at every local toy store.  We strive to incorporate multiple Layers of Learning into our products that stimulate multiple centers in the brain simultaneously -- an experience that promotes both critical thinking AND open-ended imaginary play.

Before this review, I had heard of Discovery Toys, but had never purchased anything from there. One thing I had heard in the past was that it was a very Autism friendly company. In fact, in the catalog, each toy has a key that corresponds to various learning skills that are important for children with Autism and other special needs. This is a fantastic feature for myself and other moms with children on the spectrum. And on top of that, Cindy also informed me that they have recently partnered with Autism Speaks as well! So not only are they toys great for our kiddos, but go to support an awesome cause as well. Don't have a child with special needs? That's okay...Discovery Toys are great for ALL kids. Below are just a few reason why they offer the best educational toys money can buy:
 1. Discovery Toys products develop CREATIVE THINKERS.
2. Discovery Toys products are KID‐POWERED.
3. Discovery Toys products offer many LAYERS OF LEARNING anda) develop multiple developmental skills and learning pathways,b) provide a progressive learning experience and grows with the child, &c) support multiple learning styles (auditory, visual, kinesthetic).
4. Discovery Toys products encourage PARENT INVOLVEMENT.
5. Discovery Toys products are SAFE and HIGH QUALITY w/lifetime guarantee!
6. Discovery Toys products are super FUN.

For this review, Cindy sent my son the Marbleworks Starter Set. There could not have been a better choice! Shaun loves tracks and watching things go, so this was right up his alley. I was initially a little concerned because Shaun does still have a tendency to mouth everything, but is pretty good about not swallowing, so I thought it would be okay anyway. (I just keep a close eye on him while he's playing with them!) I'm glad I went with that decision because he absolutely loved it!! He immediately dragged it out of the box and started building. One of the great things about this toy is that is no one particular way to build it and it's easy to put together. Children can use their imaginations to create any type of marble race they'd like! Did I say children? I should say, husbands too!! I really could not tell you who enjoyed this more. He spent one morning using his artillery skills to create a fancy race that shot the marbles or something crazy like that...it was definitely a toy both of my boys can enjoy together. And if they run out of unique ideas, Discovery Toys also offers expansion kits...plus extra marbles, a good idea to purchase if your son is like mine!! I imagine we will definitely buying some of both in the future!

Another great thing about this item is how sturdy it is once it's put together. As I said, my little man loves these types of track type toys, but they can also be really frustrating if they're not well made. If things fall apart...well, let's just say he falls apart too! I'm always really cautious about buying anything like this (or building toys, etc that may not stay together well), but we have had absolutely no troubles with the Marbleworks! We try to avoid meltdowns when we can, so having a toy he can enjoy that won't bring them on if he gets frustrated with it is a definite plus in this household. Truly, a great quality toy!!

It was hard to get a good picture of Shaun playing with it...he's too active! But he seriously loves this toy!

Some of the awesome pieces...endless possibilities!

I'll be honest...this was one of my husband's creations!!

If you're looking for a great gift for your little one...this is definitely a great choice. They even offer a Castle Marbleworks for younger kids, that has larger marbles! Not into marbles? Check out Cindy's website for more great options for your little one. And as an added bonus, Cindy is offering readers a 15% discount on purchases!! And if you'd love to make some extra money and start selling Discovery Toys yourself, she's offering $15 off the business starter kit!! Contact her on Facebook to order!! Sounds pretty great, right?

Disclaimer: I was sent the above product in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.

What I Wore {Frugal Fashion}

I have mentioned several times in the past that I enjoy fashion, but more than that I have said how much I LOVE getting a bargain. In fact, last month, I posted this post with some tips and tricks to secondhand shopping. Still, I am often asked how I do it. People are genuinely impressed (and curious) when they find out about my awesome bargain hunting skills. So I had a thought...wouldn't it be fun to start a feature about 'Frugal Fashion' where I share some of my own personal outfit creations that were bought at a deal? And you can join in too, I won't create a linky just yet, but if you'd like to join in, post your link in the comments, if there is enough interest, I'll make this into a weekly hop!!

So what exactly is Frugal Fashion? Truly, it can mean different things to different people. For me, I tend to think complete outfit for under $25 or so. For others it could be just one item they found on a great deal-which again can vary from person to person. For one person, spending $50 on a dress may seem like not such a great buy, but if it was originally $75-$100, that's still a bargain! Really, the only requirement is that something in the outfit was NOT purchased at full price!! Personally, between thrift finds, store sales and blog giveaways, I've got a lot of great frugal finds in my closet!!

So anyway, onto my first Frugal Fashion outfit:

If you've followed long, you've probably seen the shirt before! It's one of my favorites! I bought this during a Plato's Closet grab bag event, where I overall spent about $40 on 30+ pieces of clothing...so it averaged out that each piece would have been about $1 or a little over. The belt, necklace and boots were all from various Plato's Closet trips as well. The necklace was just $2 (you can't see it well, but it's got these cute red/orange hearts). Belts was $3. Those two prices do not include my discounts either. (15-20%...20% was from filling a rewards card, and 15% for military!) And boots, the most expensive item in this outfit were just $12 after discount! I cannot recall exactly where I got the leggings, but I believe they were given to me from my sister. Overall cost of this outfit: About $18.

If you have some great fashion deals you'd like to share, please post the link in the comments! I'd love to see your finds too!!

Love Came Down {Dayspring Review}

If you haven't started already, it's about the time now that most people start thinking more about Christmas! When you think Christmas, what comes to mind- the lights? the presents? the trees? the shopping? Santa? Hopefully, somewhere in that long list of all things Christmas, you stop a minute to think about the true reason for the season- the birth of Jesus! With all the craziness, sometimes that can get a little lost in the shuffle. As a mom, this is something I do not want! I want my son, once he has the ability to understand, to know that while the presents are nice, and Santa is fun, its truly NOT what the day is all about! I like to have little reminders of God's love throughout my home through the year, but no time during the year is that more important than at Christmas time. So what better place to turn to then Dayspring!?

When I saw the Love Came Down Collection, I was immediately in love! In fact, before this review opportunity came along, I'd actually already purchased the card holder from this collection. Not only are the items absolutely GORGEOUS, but the message is beautiful.

Love Came Down.

When I read those three words, I am reminded of one of my favorite Christmas songs, Relient K's 'I Celebrate the Day' which says, 'From the first time that You opened Your eyes, did You realize that You would be my Savior? And the first breath that left Your lips, did You know that it would change this world forever?... To look back and think that this baby would one day save me. And I, I celebrate the day that You were born to die. So I could one day pray to You to save my life.'

Never have I heard a song that so fully explains the importance of this season. It is not merely a story of a child born in a manger to a virgin mother. As a child, I heard that story over and over, as I'm sure we all do, and while I knew that was important, it wasn't until I was older that I truly grasped just how important that was. This child was born for the sole purpose of giving us an eternal life. For saving each of us. He was born to suffer and be crucified for each and every one of us. Words cannot express that type of love. Love came down...it certainly is the truth! There is no greater love in the world. This holiday season, I aim to share this message with the world. Through my words, through my actions and through my home, decorated with a purpose.

As part of the November Inspired Deals, Dayspring generously sent me the lovely Frosted Glass Hurricane and Trivet pictured below (as well as a few extra surprises like a stunning ornament and family devotional-which you can get right now for $5.99!). I could tell you all about these wonderful items, but this post is truly more about the message behind them than the actual items themselves.

Monday Randoms

I feel like I've gotten a little behind, so I thought I'd do a quick, random post to catch up.

  • If you read my last post, you know why I've been a little scarce...at least, one of the reasons anyway. Each day is getting better though. The good news is, my doctors appointment went well. My doctor does not think we will have any more issues in the future, and has given us the go ahead to try for another baby whenever we are ready. We hope to share that exciting news soon enough!
  • Onto happier news, we spent Thanksgiving with our families. It was much needed family time, and I loved that we were able to go. This is the first time we have been home for Thanksgiving in 6 years! One of the downfalls of military life!

  • With my lovely sisters!

    Mom & Dad
    • My older sister and I hit Wal-Mart Thanksgiving night to try and catch a few deals...and it was CRAZY! We waited by the DVDs, in hopes of catching a few series...as soon as they opened it up, there was a mad rush...I was seriously afraid someone would get hurt!! We missed out on the series my sister was really hoping for, but found a few others anyway! I really only had one thing on my list, and was mostly just going for sister bonding time, but thankfully I was able to get it- the $15 Legos!! Shaun's been really into Legos lately and needed some more. I know at this point at least one other person bought him some as well, so he will be one happy boy! I also bought the husband a Nerf gun for his 29th birthday...seriously! And then once I was home, I ordered a Trash Pack toy from Toys R Us. (Unfortunately, Wal-Mart is really the only big store near my mom's.) My sister got some great deals too. I won't share them, but I can't wait until Christmas for mine and Shaun's! My mom, Matt, the kids and I headed back the next morning as well. We found a few more movie deals since the crowd was down. Then we went over to Gamestop to visit one of my best friends, and got the rest of Matt's birthday gift- a Kinect and a few games! Really, he's just a big kid!!
    • And of course there is Cyber Monday! I bought a few things from Dayspring from their awesome sale. And then something from Kmart for my youngest niece. Truly, I am mostly finished with my Christmas shopping now! Now I just need to get them wrapped and hope Shaun doesn't open them all!!
    • Speaking of Christmas...can I just say that whoever came up with the idea that if one light went out, they all went out...is absolutely crazy!? I have yet to figure out which light on our tree is out, and it's quite frustrating!!
    • Shaun's new favorite movie lately has been Home Alone (1&2). I've watched it at least once a day for the past week!! At least it's a good movie...I'm sure he'll soon go back to A Christmas Story and Polar Express too...he likes to alternate them!!
    • There is still a little over a day left to enter the Lilla Rose giveaway, so make sure to check that out. Over the next few days, I'll be playing catch up and posting reviews/giveaways for Dayspring and Discovery Toys, so be sure to check back for those!!

    Lullabies in Heaven

It amazes me how quickly you can fall in love. With the first hint that you may have a baby on the way, to the positive pregnancy test...it's an immediate love. At least, it is for me. So, you can only imagine that it is with the deepest sadness that I have to write this post. Unfortunately, on Saturday night, less than a week after sharing our joyous news with friends and family, we lost our sweet baby.

For those who have ever felt this pain, from the bottom of my heart, I'm sorry. For those that haven't, I truly hope you never will. Unfortunately, miscarriages- especially this early in pregnancy- are all too common. (My doctors said some women never even realize they were pregnant and had one in the first place!) Having that knowledge still does nothing for the pain it causes though. I know that as the days go by, the pain will become less and I know that eventually, God will bless us with another child. And yes, I even know that this baby is now in the hands of God. But right now, it still hurts.

I am not ready to talk about it much more than this, but I do greatly appreciate any prayers you can send our family during this time. Our family has survived a lot, and we'll survive this too...one day at a time.

    Week Via Instagram {+ A Winner!}

As you can imagine, this week has been a pretty big week for us!! It was last Friday morning, that I got that first very faint second line on an early pregnancy test! That was also the morning of the Ball...and those weren't the only big events of the week either!

My dress for the Marine Corps Ball. (Shabby Apple fans might recognize this as their Red Carpet dress!) My husband was actually taking part in the ceremony and was at the hotel all day, so no awesome before pictures...or during really! We did get professional photos taken, so I'll post those as soon as we get them! I know I can't wait to see them myself!!

The menu for the night. This meal was incredibly fancy...right down to the choreographed way the servers gave us each course! It was really interesting.

This was the soup. As odd as it looks, it really wasn't too bad. Though I'll admit, I couldn't eat a lot of it. Though, I will say that may not be the fault of the food. A lot of you probably know I don't drink, never have and don't plan on ever starting...what you might not know is that on a normal basis, the smell makes me ill. With my added super pregnancy nose, it was horrible and I felt sick most of the night because of it!

    Definitely my favorite course. :)

The only picture with the husband I got, and it's not a great one! But it really was a wonderful evening- sickness and all!!

On Tuesday, I had the wonderful oppurtunity to take part in the Activision Family Game Summit online...a conference all about family gaming and using video games to bring families together. It was really informative, and entertaining! As part of this Summit, the first bloggers to register to attend the event online were sent this wonderful goodie bag, valued at over $200!! Obviously, I was one of those lucky bloggers! Most everything is currently hidden in my bedroom and will make their appearance under the tree soon...my son will be absolutely THRILLED!!

Speaking of the boy being THRILLED- I've mentioned many, many times about my son's obsession with snow and how he has so desperately wanted it to snow at his house for the last few years...and this past weekend, he FINALLY got that wish! It didn't stick, and it didn't last long, but he was ecstatic for as long as it lasted. I don't even like snow, but that face made it all worth it!!

He said the snow tasted like sugar!

This is my favorite, he was saying, 'Mommy, there's snow on my mittens!'

Shaun got some new Christmas jammies at Once Upon A Child...which he insisted on trying on there!

What a super talented boy I have...this was 100% his own doing!! Have I mentioned he's a genius?

Of course we couldn't go to OUAC without buying something for Baby Finley...our first baby purchases!! (And I have to say, it was really tough finding cute gender neutral things...is it time to find out yet!?)

Once we were home, Shaun decided he was the baby and had to try it on...so silly that boy of mine!

This was actually taken during the snow as well...when Shaun decided to dress himself to play in the snow! Needless to say, mommy changed him first...but not before snapping a picture of how adorable he looked!!!

And finally, I also need to announce the winner of the Melissa & Doug giveaway! The winner was:

    Lisa T.

She's been notified and responded! Thanks to all who entered, and don't forget to stop by and enter the Lilla Rose giveaway, and stick around for more coming soon!!

    Changes For Our Little Family

A few days ago I'd mentioned I'd not been feeling well...in fact I've not been feeling well for a couple weeks now...and here's why:

That's right, we are excited to share that we will be welcoming baby #2 into our family. I have my first doctor's appointment next month, and will find out more then, but we believe baby Finley (boy or girl!) will be making his/her arrival around July 25th. When I have more energy, I will share more about the decision to start trying, as well as finding out, etc, but for now I will leave you with this little survey, which I will try to do at least every other week or so!!

    How Far Along?
    We believe almost 4 weeks!!

    Total Weight Gain/Loss?
No idea, nor will I find out. I did the same with Shaun. So long as I am gaining enough and not gaining too much, I am more comfortable not knowing the exact numbers. (Though I will say a few of my size 0 skinny jeans are already feeling just a smidge tighter...but that may be my imagination;))

    Size of Baby?
According to my phone app...a poppyseed! Wow, that's tiny!

    Maternity Clothes?
    Obviously not yet!

I can't seem to get enough!! I'm always tired...I do not remember being so tired this early with Shaun!

    Nothing really yet.

Again, nothing yet. The only things I've really noticed are that the smell of alcohol and jerky make me horribly sick, but those have always bothered me anyway, it's just more extreme. (Plus I'm a vegetarian who doesn't drink, so those really aren't something I'd want anyway!)

    Not yet.

Obviously too early to know. I will say I have already been feeling girl. With Shaun, I felt from the beginning that he was a boy as well (never even picked a girl name). Though to be honest, I'm not sure if my girl feeling is really maternal instinct or the fact that everyone else has been saying girl!! We will see!!

What I Am Looking Forward To?
First Doctor's Appointment. Finding out gender (seriously, I'm not patient!). Baby shopping, and sharing that experience with friends a family, something I wasn't able to do with Shaun since we lived so far away!

Nausea- from anywhere from noon to 2 pm until morning, I feel just miserable. Thankfully I've not actually been sick yet, so I can at least be thankful for that (I was the same with Shaun, though I don't remembering it being this bad or this early either!).
Extreme exhaustion- I'm seriously tired ALL the time!
Heightened Sense of Smell- I seriously can smell EVERYTHING it seems. I first noticed this at the Colts game we went to a few weeks back, and was my first suspicion! Thankfully most smells aren't making me sick, just those that already did pre-pregnancy. But I will say the smell of alcohol at the Marine Corps Ball was HORRIBLE!
Hands Swelling- Just slightly, but I'm still not a fan.
More trips to the bathroom- Seriously, I didn't have to pee this much with Shaun until the very end it seems!
I think that about covers it right now, or at least the major ones anyway!!

I could not agree more with Linda! I'm not great at hair, and frankly my hair can be quite stubborn for me but these really were fantastic for me! They'd make great stocking stuffers too, as they're fairly inexpensive too! And because Linda is so wonderful, she is once again offering one lucky reader a FREE product of their choice from her website, up to $25 in value!! How great is that!? Enter using the Rafflecopter form below! Good luck to all!

Edited to add: All NEW Lilla Rose Customers that purchase 3 or more items from Linda’s website, can get one FREE item as well.  To claim your FREE item, e-mail Linda atCliptomania@ymail.com with your customer number and the item number and description of the FREE item you want.  That’s it!!  Your FREE item will come to you directly from Lilla Rose Headquarters in 2-3 weeks

    Life via Instagram {11/9}

Oh what a busy week this has been! Lots going on and lots of pictures to share!

Probably the biggest event of the week was the Colts game! It was mine and Shaun's first ever professional sporting event! If you watched the game, you already know it was a tribute to the troops. Matt actually participated in the halftime show and the opening (pic below), and we were given free tickets for the whole family. They weren't awesome seats, but free is free, right? And the boys had fun!!

This flag was carried out by veterans from all the different services. My hubby was one of them!

Shaun enjoying the game...or the popcorn anyway!

Aren't we cute? Mommy and Shaun enjoying the game. (Okay, let's be honest, Mommy didn't have the slightest idea what was going on!!)

We weren't sure how he was going to handle the game, but overall he did pretty well. He covered his ears for a lot of it, and initially wanted to be on the field playing, but not as bad as it could have been. He did keep yelling at everyone to 'shush' though.

Daddy and Shaun at the game...how did I get lucky to have such handsome boys!?

My game outfit...I'm just not a t-shirt girl! Ha! But I think I represented pretty well in my way!

The other big event of this week was Shaun's first dentist appointment. He'd been complaining of a toothache over the weekend, and we were lucky that they were able to see him right away! He loved the dentist...truly, I've never seen a kid so excited to go! Unfortunately, that's where the good news ends...poor kid needs a LOT of dental work...but more on that later!

Dayspring Christmas Decor! Stay tuned for the review/story!

Christmas decorations make me happy! Seriously, I don't know how you can look at them ans not be filled with holiday cheer! (And speaking of Dayspring, the pillow and card holder are both from there as well!)

Christmas MUSIC makes me happy too!

I love getting Victoria's Secret coupons in the mail! Anyone else get these? Every few months or so they send them...one's usually something free and the other for $10 any purchase. I bought this little gift set of one of my favorite scents, and am going to use the bag for the ball...so cute! And only $12. (Plus, with their secret rewards promotion, I got a card worth at LEAST $10 to use later this month! Awesome!)

Shaun is getting much more creative with his Lego creations. This was his 'Lego camping'. See the burnt marshmallow!? How brilliant is my boy?

My nails for tonight's ball. So glad I decided to go with gold!

Mmmm, Starbucks! Anyone else prefer their coffee cold...even in the cool weather!?

Spasagna- a combination of spaghetti and lasagna...and totally delicious! Yum!

I'm not sure WHY he wrote no, but he found it quite humorous! Silly boy!

My hubby's weekend breakfast. Can I just say I HATE making bacon...seriously, hate! But it's my hubby's favorite, so I'm a good wife and make it for him anyway...but seriously, ugh!

Mr. Shaun, all ready for winter (and has been for two years now!). Bring on the snow!

Speaking of snow (or lack of), we had some sleet a few days back...Shaun thought it was 'ice snow' and was thrilled! I can't wait to see his reaction to ACTUAL snow!

And that was our busy week!! Don't forget, today is the last day for the Stella & Dot giveaway, and the Melissa & Doug giveaway is still going on as well, so be sure to enter one, or both! Now, I'm off to clean house and get myself ready for the ball tonight!
