As the holiday season quickly approaches, we start to hear a lot about 'peace on Earth', more so than any other time throughout the year, I think. I don't know about you, but I could certainly use a little more peace in my life. Looking at the world around us, it can be hard to find it. But when we open our Bibles? This is where we find a story of peace that is beyond a simple feeling of calm, but a peace with God and with one another.
The Peace of God Bible invites you to experience peace with God as you trace this important theme throughout Scripture. By meditating on it daily as you read 365 devotions and application notes, you will find the encouragement you need to live out of the wholeness you have in Christ—and be equipped to share that peace with others.  Check it out:
• Book introductions to help reveal the part peace plays in each book of the Bible
• 365 devotionals based on a key verse or passage to guide you in how to receive and live by God’s peace
• 365 peace notes offering short, powerful insights to help you understand more deeply the wholeness you have in Christ
• Topical indexes to help you study on your own how God's peace can shape different relationships in your life

I was recently given a copy of this Bible to experience for myself and to share my thoughts. I was immediately taken by the beauty of this Bible. I personally received the Brown Leathersoft style, which features a beautiful mountain design with gilded golden edges. It was an absolutely beautiful design- ideal for men and women alike. (You can also purchase the hardcover version or various other designs as well.)
But, of course, it's the inside that really matters. First off, I loved the print size. I sometimes struggle with smaller print, and this was just right to make it readable... without making it too large to carry around! My eyes were immediately drawn to the Peace Notes sprinkled throughout the pages. These are super quick notes- just a sentence or two- that I personally thought offered really great reminders of peace and helped to highlight those messages and moments of peace throughout scripture. There were longer devotionals as well, again all just pointing back to that one thing-- the peace that comes from God. It also has the words Jesus spoke in red, which I have really come to appreciate in my current Bible and was excited to see in this one as well. This one is the NKJV, which I will admit, is not my personal favorite translation, but I found that I enjoyed those other features so much that I could see this becoming one that I would regularly use just the same.
