Book Review
Badge of Honor is the second book in the Honor and Danger series. While you’ll see some characters that were introduced previously in this story, it can be enjoyed as a standalone as well.
From the moment I read the start of Chris and Melissa’s story at the end of Code of Honor (book one), I absolutely couldn’t wait to find out what was going to happen— and it absolutely didn’t disappoint. After Chris saves her from an attack, Melissa wakes up with no memories of who she is. With no one else to be there for her, Chris steps up to help, despite their rocky romantic past. It seems that whoever had attacked her wasn’t quite finished with her yet, leading to a suspenseful read that I couldn’t put down. There’s definitely something about amnesia in a suspense read that really only adds to the sense of danger— never knowing who to trust or what has happened to put her in danger. I loved that. This story had lots of twists that I didn’t see coming and it kept me guessing right through to the end. I also loved seeing Chris and Melissa get their second chance at love— and getting to see her fall in love with him all over again. With messages of faith blended in effortlessly, there was so much to love in this story. Once again, the book ended with a glimpse of what’s to come next and I can’t wait! If you enjoy Christian romantic suspense, this is definitely one to check out!
