I was baptized as a Christian when I was 17 years old. I'd grown up in a Christian home and had always believed in God, but it was during my teenage years that I truly came into my faith. And let me tell you, as if being a teenager wasn't hard enough, being a Christian teen? Even harder! Let's face it, being a Christian just isn't the popular way to be.

If that were true 11 years ago when I graduated, I truly believe that it is even more true NOW! First and foremost, this book is just lovely. Yes I know, 'never judge a book by it's cover', but let's be honest, I've always loved pretty things... especially as a younger teen. But it's the words inside that truly made me fall in love with this fantastic devotional.

Each page offers a simple verse, and a very brief reading that is 100% relevant to young girls TODAY. While I must admit I did not read through each and every devotional, I read through several and found myself wishing I'd had this when I was a young teen Christian. It starts off reminding us that we are not just loved, but ADORED by God and that His love is unending and never changing. Throughout high school, and I'll admit, even now- I had a lot of struggles with my self esteem. Not just my looks, though there certainly was that- but about friendships, relationships, grades and so much more. Insecurity is a feeling that I think most teenagers are all too familiar with, and so that is a very powerful way to start the book. But it doesn't end there . With every page there is another great topic that teens can relate to. I saw topics of friendship, topics on social media... I even came across a devotion about dressing modestly. (Don't worry, it's not a specific 'how you should dress' guide, but instead encouraging girls to love their bodies, whatever that means fashion wise).
