A Custom Made Gift: Origami Owl {Review}

I am beyond excited to bring you the next review & giveaway for the Holiday Gift Guide. Today's giveaway is from Origami Owl Consultant, Francisca Montgomery!! Here is a brief introduction from Francisca herself:
I'm a mom of 3 and husband is in the Air Force. The reasoning I got into Origami Owl was because it was started by a 16 year old & her mom. And also b/c I have my own 16 year old daughter and I wanted to give her the opportunity to enjoy the last 2 years of high school. I was a single mother for 8 years and she has been my driving force.
It would make a great gift b/c it's personalize to "you." Being able to have something even though there are others like it all of them are so different.

As I said, I am super excited to be sharing this particular review and giveaway with you, and that is in large part because this was something that has been on my personal wishlist for awhile now! If you haven't heard of Origami Owl, you're in for a treat! The company is most known for their stunning Living Lockets, charm lockets that can be personalized for each individual! For this review, Francisca sent me a large silver locket with crystals, and three charms and a plate that I felt best reflected the story of my family.

Marines: I chose this lovely Eagle, Globe & Anchor Marine Corps charm to represent my husband and the wonderful opportunities we have been given as a Marine Corps family.

Clear Crystal Crown: I chose this charm to represent the way I met my husband. You can read the full story here, if you're interested, but to sum it up, because of my love of Cinderella, when my hubby and I met in person for the first time, he surprised me with glass slippers and whisked me off to the Marine Corps ball...this is also the story behind my blog name. So, I thought this cute little crown (which you can't really see in the photo) was a nice way to celebrate that!

Autism Heart: Obviously, this charm was chosen to represent my son, and quite honestly what first attracted me to the company in the first place. I love that this charm is not merely just a puzzle piece or an Autism awareness ribbon, but a heart because truly Shaun is my whole heart and this is the perfect representation of that love for him.

The great thing about these lockets is that I can add more charms to this later as well...or change them out as I wish for special occasions. (In fact, right now they have some gorgeous holiday charms!) Already I am contemplating the angel wing charm, and perhaps a few others as well. As Francisca stated earlier, the great thing about these lockets is that they are truly unique to each individual. I think gifts that have a deeper meaning behind them are truly the best and I can't think of any woman on my list that wouldn't love such a thoughtful, custom made gift! And not only do they look great, but the quality is truly great too!

If you're like me, you might be looking at this and thinking you can't afford it. As lovely as they are, and now seeing the quality, you would definitely think that they'd be price-y, but the reality is they are actually very reasonable. Lockets start at $20 up to $38, and charms start at just $5. There are also a variety of dangles and plates (like the Blessed plate I have) to make an even more individual creation. And the chains start at just $8!! As I said, very reasonable prices, particularly for the quality! They also just introduced a Tagged collection that is very reasonably priced as well! Some under $10! (These are charms that go directly on the chain...no locket required!)

Disclaimer: I received the above product free in exchange for this honest review. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own!

  1. This is such a cute giveaway! My necklace would be: the autism heart because I feel so passionate about helping children with autism (as well as other spectrum disorders) and I can't wait until I graduate and start my practice as a chiropractor. The crystal cross because my faith is important to me. The large love plate, medium believe plate and small dream plate in gold, with the rose gold outline :)
