Book Review

Once again, Laura Langa has hit a grand slam with this baseball romance! Right from the start, Tenny and Alex drew me in. Listen, I love a slow burn too... but there's something about an early first kiss that will get me every single time. A kiss with a then stranger five years earlier right in chapter one? Yes, please! The dynamic between these two is... complicated... but oh so entertaining to witness. We've got the banter of enemies to love, but it's more like enemies to friends back to enemies... and I loved the back-and-forth tension of it all. Throughout it all, their chemistry and even their genuine support and care for each other is still undeniable. And while that first kiss was great, that second one? Oh my goodness! Seriously, I just could not get enough of these two together. Tenny is truly such a fun and generous character. He's got a big personality and can come across a little over the top and even a little cocky at times, but in a really endearing way. Their story was equal parts tender and funny... and I was absolutely here for it all. With fantastic banter filled text threads between the rest of the team, I cannot wait to read what happens next in the series.
