I was recently given the chance to check out this book and share some thoughts. This isn't a book that I would typically choose on my own, but after reading the description I was intrigued... albeit a little hesitant. While I believe that experiences like Gabe's can and do happen, it can be really difficult to determine which stories to trust... something that Gabe himself mentions at the end of the book... as such, one of the things that I really appreciated most about his story was that it was packed full of scriptural references so that we, as readers, can read those passages for ourselves and see where this story aligns with God's Word. In ANY Christian nonfiction book that I read, this frequent reference to scripture is something that I always look for and appreciate. Beyond that though, Gabe's story is absolutely fascinating... and one that certainly had me thinking deeper about Heaven and eternity and what that will look like. I think this is a story that Christians new and old can all gain something from!
