These events took place so many years ago that it really is hard to place ourselves in that time and truly understand what it must have been like for them.
But what if they DID happen in current times? What would that look like?
Today, I'm sharing an intriguing new show that explores just that idea: Testament. Take a look:

At the time of this posting, I've only had the chance to watch the first few episodes, but honestly, it only took the one to draw me in! This unique show takes the events of Acts but places them into the modern time---as though they were happening now, not thousands of years ago. Intriguing, right? It really makes you think about how it must have been for those earliest followers of Jesus... what a challenge it must have been and how much faith it took. Because we're seeing it from a more modern perspective, I think it will allow viewers to really see themselves in those moments and relate more fully to the story in a way they never have before. While I can't say that this is a show that I would typically sit down and choose, I found myself unable to turn away... it was so well done and thought provoking and has me excited to see more.
