The Book
Two best friends, one secret love, and a battle for the heart.
Honor
Wes has always been my knight in shining armor.
But I never expected him to become an actual knight—armor, sword, and all!
Watching him fight in his new sport of armored combat sparks a strange new feeling.
Wait a minute--I can't actually be attracted to my best friend...can I?
Wes
Twenty years ago, I fell in love with the smartest girl in kindergarten.
But I didn't have the guts to tell her.
So I settled for best friend instead.
Over the years, my love for Honor has only grown stronger.
And keeping it a secret is pure torture.
I don't want to risk ruining our friendship, but I'm at my breaking point.
Will I fight for Honor's heart and risk everything for love, or will I let fear continue to keep us apart?

You've Got (Chain) Mail is the sixth book in the Sweet Sports Kisses series. This is a multi-author series of sports romances all connected through the Play It Forward organization, with each book being able to be enjoyed in any order or as standalones.Well, this one was... unexpected! I've read a lot of sports romance-- all the big ones of course (football, hockey, soccer, etc) and a few less common but still more known (golf, lacrosse)... but this featured a sport I had absolutely never heard of: Buhurt, a type of medieval combat training. While it might not be what I'd have expected in a sports romance, I actually really loved it! It was such a unique idea and had me completely intrigued. Beyond that though, these characters themselves were impossible not to enjoy too. I loved Wes and Honor's friendship. Seeing her feelings starting to change was really sweet, and the long time pining from his side? It was so good. This was definitely friends to love done really well! Wes's Play It Forward mentee Zeke added so much fun to the story as well... I loved him just as much as the main characters! This was such a fun and unique read and one that I very much enjoyed. If you're looking for a quick sports romance that's a little bit different than the usual, this is certainly one to check out.
You've Got (Chain) Mail is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.
