Away We Go by Belinda Mary: Book Review

**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.

The Book

Cherry Brenner is starting over.
Leaving behind a toxic relationship, she’s determined to reclaim her self-confidence and forge a new path— starting with a new job as the photographer for the most prestigious Formula 1 team in the world. Sure, she only landed the role because her brother’s best friend is their star driver, but that doesn’t mean she’s not going to make the most of it.

Except… she’s distracted.
By the man who’s supposed to be like a brother to her. When did he get so...hot? Why does his smile send sparks through her chest? And why, for the first time, does he look at her like she’s the only woman in the room? After swearing off men, she’s struggling to keep her heart in check.

Nicky Dimitrios has always loved Cherry.
As his best friend’s little sister, Cherry was always off-limits— until now. When she needs help escaping a bad relationship, he’s more than happy to offer her a job. It’s no big deal; he’ll be too focused on winning his fifth world championship and solidifying his place as the greatest driver of all time to pay her much attention.

Except… he’s distracted.
By the woman who suddenly consumes his every thought. Why does she smell so intoxicating? When did that dimple of hers start driving him wild? For the first time in years, winning isn’t the only thing on his mind.

As the F1 season heats up, so too do the sparks between these old friends. Their chemistry ignites a relationship neither expected. But with the bright spotlight of the Formula 1 world on them, will their newfound love survive the intensity of this high-pressure world… or will it crash and burn?

The Author

Belinda Mary is a long-time lover of all the books and has dreamed of being a writer her whole life. Since picking up her first Judy Blume novel at the age of ten, she has been happily lost in the world of fiction, and ask anyone around her, when she has a book to read, she turns into a very unproductive member of society.

After studying for ten years and obtaining her PhD in molecular biology, she pursued a career in the healthcare industry, and has recently taken the leap to make her lifelong dream of writing and publishing a novel come true. And when she is not looking after her two kids, her husband of eleven years and her crazy spoodle, she can be found on the couch reading, watching all things Bravo TV, or listening to true crime podcasts.

Belinda writes the kind of stories that she loves to read; filled with laughs, longing and love.

Book Review

Well, it's official... I have absolutely entered my F1/racing romance era! This was a sports romance subgenre that I didn't know I needed... but I am here for it. With books like Away We Go, how could I not be? Seriously, this book was just amazing. This story very quickly brought me into this fast-paced world of F1 racing with Cherry and Nicky as she gets her fresh start taking photos for his social media team. The chemistry between these two is absolutely undeniable right from the very start... but as his best friend's younger sister, she's off limits. Their story truly was the perfect slow burn... with all the delicious pining that comes right along with that... and I LOVED every single second of it. Their romance was emotional and swoon worthy--- while giving a glimpse as to what it's like living in the public eye and the pressure that goes along with that... and I just thought it was all done so well! I loved seeing their growth throughout the story and couldn't help but root for them to get their happily ever after. I have enjoyed every Belinda Mary book that I have read so far... but this one might just be a new favorite from her!

Away We Go
is a closed-door romance with fade to black/implied intimacy. It does have some minor language as well.
