Book Review

Lindsey Harrel never fails to deliver stories that are both swoon worthy and romantic... that will tug at the heartstrings as well. This one was absolutely no exception. This is the first book in the multi-author Jonathon Island series, so not only do we get a fantastic romance between Dani and Liam but we're also being introduced to the town as a whole... and I found myself loving both. Dani and Liam had such a sweet chemistry between them, but they both have things in their past that seem impossible to work through. She's trying to save her town that she loves and never plans to leave (and reunite her family in the process) and he's working towards a promotion that will allow his dad to retire... and take him away from this temporary visit to Jonathan Island. I loved seeing them both learn and grow throughout the story. Their romance was beautifully written with messages of healing and faith weaved effortlessly through it and I absolutely adored them. 

And then there's Jonathan Island. If you love a quirky small town (that perhaps is also in need of some healing), you'll definitely get all those vibes here. I found myself intrigued by the history of this town... and its townspeople and cannot wait for the next book in the series to see what's going to happen next. If you love smalltown Christian romance with a lot of heart, this is one you certainly won't want to miss.
