I was recently given a copy of this Bible to check out for myself and share my thoughts. First of all, I'm not personally familiar with the NIV Application Commentary series that the study notes within are drawn from, but I'm sure that those who do like that will be especially pleased with that aspect. This Bible truly is packed full of notes, which definitely helps readers to see beyond just the surface of what they are reading, which I find super helpful. Throughout, we also are given sections highlighting important people to know, character of God and questions for growth. Each of these offers not only room for reflection but also give us insight as to how this scripture can be applied in our own lives. Sometimes the Bible can seem so far removed from our present day that it can be hard to understand how it relates to us, and I think all of these sections really help to bring it around.
