I'd Never Date my Brother's Best Friend by Abby Greyson: Book Review

*Book received for consideration. All thoughts are my own.

This is a kisses only, sweet romance.

A movie star, a grump next door and a dating experiment gone awry.

My brother’s best friend has always been a gorgeous thorn in my side. He’s the famous Sean O’Connell, rom-com celebrity, owner of a smile that can melt even the coldest of hearts.

My new next-door neighbor is not the man of my dreams.

He’s one of the happiest people I’ve ever met, and to be honest, it’s annoying. I don’t have to be happy or like people. I’m good, thank you very much.

But Sean thinks I need to be happy, and that means being in a relationship. He’s recruited my best friend and my brother to put the “Get Jessica A Man” plan into action.

A makeover and some speed dating were absolutely not on my social calendar. But there’s no stopping him once his minds made up.

As Sean’s sunny disposition starts to rub off on me, I feel myself falling. But for the wrong guy.

Is it possible the thorn in my side is actually the rose I’ve been longing for?

This is a sweet, kisses only, brother’s best friend, close proximity, enemies to lovers, opposites attract, slow burn, and happily ever after. Let yourself get swept up with Sean and Jessica and I hope you fall in love with the two of them and are left wanting more! This book is a standalone.

Abby Greyson loves writing clean, kisses only, sweet and swoony romance stories that invite people to remember what it’s like to fall in love over and over and over again. Stories that make you laugh, root for the main characters and wonder what they are doing long after the book is finished.

On the days she isn’t reading or writing she enjoys spending lazy days with her Mr. Wonderful, her two pups and watching the Buffalo Bills on a football Sunday.

This was such a sweet read. I've always loved all the variations of siblings and best friends (best friend's brother, brother's best friend, etc)... and with this one... you get it all! Her best friend's brother is also her brother's best friend, so that was fun! Right from the start, I enjoyed the banter between Sean and Jessica. Their relationship is filled with teasing and tension... and they didn't seem to get along at all. But as they spend more time together, it seems that their might be a little something more behind that tension. This was definitely a slow burn, with both characters denying their feelings like it was going out of style, but it made the wait all the more worth it. And those dating lessons and bingo night? So fun! This was a fairly quick read, but one that I found to be very enjoyable... and that left me wondering what would happen next in the series.

I'd Never Date My Brother's Best Friend is a closed-door romance, with nothing beyond kisses. There were just a few (two) very minor swears.
