Yes, he solved the crime. Yes, he saved lives. But Rembrandt returns to find the unthinkable has happened and his life has shattered.

There’s only one answer: break the rule again. Go back in time once more, fix what went wrong, save what went right, and yeah, in his spare time solve another brutal crime.

But it’s not so easy to change time, especially when time turns you into a target. And of course there’s the strong possibility if he goes again, he’ll never get back.

Hello again! Welcome back and thank you for joining us once again to share the newest book in The True Lies of Rembrandt Stone series- No Unturned Stone. Can you share 5 random facts about this book or the series as a whole?

1.       It takes place in Susie May’s childhood neighborhood, with the Mulligan house the same as her best friend, who lived on Lake Minnetonka.

2.       Rem’s playlist is Susie May’s playlist in her husband’s 1994 Corvette.

3.       Susie and Jim first conceived a time travel series while on an airplane together.

4.       Susie May loves DIY remodeling—hence the ongoing repairs in the Stone household.

5.       During the writing of book 5, David and Susie May had the same brilliant plot twist idea at the same time…separately. It was a divine moment of inspiration!

While two thirds (Susan May Warren and James L. Rubart) of your writing team are experienced authors with many titles under your belts, for the other third (David C. Warren) this series is his first publication. What has this experience of the series releasing been like for him?

Working with two experienced authors has made this process a breeze, for the most part. It’s certainly a magical and strange sensation to cementing a story that I participated in, into the public consciousness. Rembrandt Stone will last forever. That is very exciting and gratifying. I’m so proud of what we’ve made, and I am sure that readers will enjoy it as much as I do.

In our previous interview, you shared what the collaborative process looked like for your team and it sounded like you had a system that worked quite well for you. What-if any- were the hardest challenges to overcome in that process?

With all of us living in different parts of the world (one of our team members lives in Australia!) communicating on all the little details of releasing six books in one year is a challenge. Thankfully we’ve all embraced Slack (a project and messaging app) where we can message each individual team member directly, or message the team as a whole. I can’t imagine doing this twenty years ago, or even ten.

Can you tell us a little bit more about No Unturned Stone?

“The One Rule Is, Don’t Mess With The Past”

What do you hope readers will take away from the book?

That no matter how dire the circumstances in our lives, there is always a way out, and maybe more importantly, there is always hope. There are so many times in our lives where we make a choice we wish we hadn’t made. At that point we have two choices. Wallow in our sorrow and beat ourselves up for taking the wrong path, or we can take hold of what we CAN do and press on and believe there are better days coming.

As the second book in the series, will readers who have not yet read Cast the First Stone be able to start here or do they need to go back and read book one first?

No they don’t and yes they do. Let me explain! Can someone pick up No Unturned Stone and enjoy the story and pick up the story thread? Yes. But will they also feel like they rushed into a movie theatre twenty minutes after the film started? Yep. So while readers don’t have to read Cast the First Stone, it will make reading or listening to No Unturned Stone a much richer experience.

Thank you again for taking the time to answer these questions. Before you go, can you share what we can expect in the other books in the series yet to come?

Rembrandt Stone is going to have to face some of the most difficult challenges he’s ever come up against; as well as some of his most difficult choices. In other words, there’s roller coasters and then there are roller coasters! Know what I mean? The roller coasters in the rest of the books in the series just keep getting bigger and bigger.
