My Greatest Adventure {+ Enter To Win a World Market Gift Card Giveaway} #FindingYouMovie

What has been your greatest adventure you've ever taken?

If I were to be entirely honest, I'm not what one might call an adventurous person. On the contrary, really.  I've never traveled the world. I've never climbed a mountain or jumped out of an airplane. I much prefer to stay at home and go on adventures via the pages of my books instead.

Still, life has not been without some adventures... and while I wouldn't trade those bookish adventures in, nothing compares to my best adventure in life so far: the adventure of starting my family and becoming a mother.

Had you told me just how my family life would have begun just a year and half earlier, I wouldn't have believed you in the slightest. Like I said, I'm not all that adventurous and tend to like to stay close to home. But as we all know... love changes everything.

When I 'met' my husband I had no intentions of falling in love. Even if I were, I quite distinctly remember sharing with friends that I had no interest in dating someone in the military because I simply wasn't strong enough for that.

Love doesn't generally care what we think we want and has a way of surprising us every time. As you all know now, that is just exactly what happened. I fell in love with a Marine fighting a war half a world away. God certainly has a sense of humor, doesn't he?

I married that Marine just months after meeting him in person for the first time.  I found myself leaving the safety of home to move across the country to California knowing no one. From the birth of our first child to cross country road trips (and train trips), duty station and job changes, life has truly been an adventure ever since! Like any adventure, it hasn't always been easy but I wouldn't change this adventure with my husband and our children for anything else in this world.

Today, I am excited to share with you a new movie that will take you on an adventure across the world... and one that has a small part in my own motherhood adventure. Not long before making the decision to grow our family, I read a book called There You'll Find Me by Jenny B. Jones. It was in that book that I first heard the name Finley and knew that without a doubt this would be my child's name, no matter what. With a name meaning fair haired warrior, MY Finley has certainly lived up to that name. That book has now become a movie and we cannot WAIT to see it! Check it out:

FINDING YOU is an inspirational romantic drama full of heart and humor about finding the strength to be true to oneself.  After an ill-fated audition at a prestigious New York music conservatory, violinist Finley Sinclair (Rose Reid) travels to an Irish coastal village to begin her semester studying abroad. At the B&B run by her host family, she encounters gregarious and persistent heartthrob movie star Beckett Rush (Jedidiah Goodacre), who is there to film another installment of his medieval fantasy-adventure franchise. As romance sparks between the unlikely pair, Beckett ignites a journey of discovery for Finley that transforms her heart, her music, and her outlook on life. In turn, Finley emboldens Beckett to reach beyond his teen-idol image and pursue his true passion.  But when forces surrounding Beckett’s stardom threaten to crush their dreams, Finley must decide what she is willing to risk for love.

Welcome to Ireland, a land of beauty, fantasy and romance worth risking it all for. ðŸ’•Watch #FindingYouMovie trailer now, and see it in theaters May 14.
