A Look Inside My June Ipsy Glam Bag...

Before joining Ipsy a little over a year ago, I was constantly seeing ads. $10 (now $12) for 5 deluxe samples of high quality beauty brands? Sounded too good to be true. I am never one to splurge on myself, but thought I'd give it a chance and see how I liked it. The price was right after all.

Over a year later, and I am still in love with these bags. If you're like I was and curious to know what REALLY comes in these bags, take a look inside my June Glam Bag:

What's Inside:
  • Maelle Beauty Clearly Brilliant Tinted Lips in Nectar
  • Papa Recipe Eggplant Clearing Mud Cream Mask
  • Marc Anthony True Professional Bye Bye Frizz Heat Protectant Leave-in Conditioner
  • House of Makeup Nail Lacquer in Flat White
  • Ofra Cosmetics Covent Garden Highlighter

Plus, Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser.

Perhaps the item I was most excited about in this bag was the Ofra Cosmetics highlighter. Since joining, I have absolutely fallen in love with this brand. Their blush is one of my favorites, and I'd been anxiously hoping to get my hands on one of these highlighters too. They are a common addition to glam bags in various shades, but this is the first time I'd actually gotten one. Not only is this shade absolutely stunning, this is actually a full size product valued at $35!

Lip colors are always a favorite to receive and while I'm not typically drawn to lip crayons OR this particular shade, it actually goes on beautifully.

Nail polish is another one of my favorites to receive. This particular shade is one that I must admit I never would have purchased on my own... but I'm actually really loving it. It's a great every day color. Nail polishes are always full size as well, and this one has a value of $4.19!

When you receive your glam bag each month, you are given the option to review the products you receive. Not only does this better help to make sure that your next bags are more personalized to your preference, you also earn points for doing so. You can also earn points by inviting your friends to join through your personal referral link. These points can then be redeemed for more great beauty products. Deluxe samples or smaller full size (those items that would typically be found in the regular glam bag) can be redeemed for 600 points. You can also save up your points for full sized products for 1200-1800 points. This Murad cleanser is one of my point redemption items. I had fallen in love with it during one of their flash sales, and with a $40 value, I couldn't resist stocking up at no cost!
With Ipsy, you are given the chance to choose one product only on choice day. From there they will then try to match you up with the best bag based on your preferences and reviews. There are preset variations, so your choice does factor into that but they try to match as closely as possible. Still, some bags are better than others. I like everything in this bag... but there have been others where I only get excited about a few. It can be a bit of a gamble, but for me I find that they're always well worth the $12. It's a rather inexpensive way to treat yourself each month and save big on beauty products.

  1. I subscribe to Glam Bag Plus and this last month wasn't bad. Not WOW, but I got a very good sunscreen, a makeup remover stick, an eyecream, and a Hauslaboratories lip gloss, which I was dying to try. The surprise was the Ciate London cream eyeshadow I really didn't want which I ended up adoring. All in all, Ipsy is probably the best subscription box out there.

    1. I absolutely agree-- it's fantastic! I've also had many products that I was only eh about that ended up being favorites! While the plus isn't an expense I can justify every month, I love grabbing plus items as add ons! I love that they offer the different options to fit every budget :)
