Hi Jennifer! Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions and giving my readers the chance to get to know you and your latest book- Hometown Healing- a little bit better.

Let’s talk writing! Was this something that you always knew you wanted to do or something that came about later?

I’ve always enjoyed writing but always more as a way to process my world. Then, as an adult, I began writing various content for the church, from dramas for outreach events to parent newsletters. One day, as I was brainstorming content for a children’s program, I realized how much I enjoyed the process, and I was taken aback by how much. I began to explore writing more. A few years later, I sensed a clear call from God, which led to more determined steps.

In addition to writing, you are also the founder of Wholly Loved Ministries, can you share a little bit about that?

I would love to. Our ministry helps women discover, embrace, and live out who they are in Christ. We strive to do this through various means, including creating devotions, Bible study material, and engaging with women at events and online.

Have you found that your experience with this ministry and interacting with a variety of women has helped inspire your writing in any way?

For sure, and my writing helps me serve the women. Interacting with others and hearing their stories and struggles helps me write more dynamic and authentic character. Writing helps me continually consider how I can communicate effectively to the women we serve.

Can you tell us a little bit about Hometown Healing?

I’d love to. How about if I share the back cover text?

What do you hope readers will take away from the book?

I hope readers will be encouraged to seek restoration in their relationships and take steps to develop deep community with others, or if they are living in community, that they actively find ways to deepen this.

This sounds like a fantastic read, and I cannot wait to read it myself...I love a good second chance romance story!  I have found that writers are so often some of the best readers too. If we were to take a look at your TBR, what might we find there?

I’m currently working on some devotional deadlines, so you’d see commentaries and biblical history books. I’m currently trying to immerse myself in the life of Paul and the culture of ancient Corinth.

Thank you again for taking the time to answer my questions. Before we go, can you give us an idea on what we can look forward to next? Any projects you are currently working on that you can share?

Thanks for asking! I’m doing a final read through of what I hope to be my fourth Love Inspired novel (my third releases this coming June). I hope to get it to my agent by mid-March, if not sooner.
