A New Spin on Family Time: Our Experience with Harlem Globetrotters Pushing The Limits World Tour {+ Coupon Code}

**We received complimentary passes from US Family Guide for consideration. All thoughts are 100% my own.

Last weekend, my family and I had the chance to attend a Harlem Globetrotters game courtesy of US Family Guide. They come to our city every year around this time, but I must admit I'd never given it much thought. To be honest, I'm not much of a sports fan, basketball or otherwise. Still, my son started playing basketball in the fall so when the opportunity arose this year, I thought it might be something he would now actually enjoy.

And boy did he! What surprised me however was just how much we ALL enjoyed it--- even the non-basketball fans among us!

For those who have never experienced a Harlem Globetrotter's game, here's what you can expect:

  • It's a REAL game... but not your typical game! The Harlem Globetrotters and their opponents both play to win, but the Globetrotters do mix in their signature style of show basketball that will entertain fans of all ages. When the Globetrotters are performing their tricks, their opponents do not interfere, but aside from those moments, they do really play. As such, they aren't guaranteed to win... but they DO have a 99% winning streak! Basketball fans will appreciate that aspect, I'm sure. But it's more than JUST a game, it's also a show too!

  • It will make you laugh out loud! Right from the start the game was entertaining. While I knew that the Globetrotters performed various stunts and showed off their unique skills, I really didn't expect the show to be as comedic as it was. My son's favorite moment was that in which one of the players gave the referee a wedgie... pulling out an oversize pair or underwear in the process! My daughter loved when one player asked Siri to play his favorite song and 'Let It Go' blared from the speakers. These were just a few of the hilarious moments that had each and every member of our family laughing all throughout.

  • It's an interactive experience. When you visit a Globetrotters game, you can anticipate being part of the show. Members were brought out from the audience at various points as part of the tricks and jokes, but beyond that they really bring the audience into the experience as a whole as well. At the end of the game, you will even have the opportunity to come down to the floor and meet the players and get autographs!

Overall, it was a fantastic experience. I went expecting that it would be something fun for my son and husband, but in the end we ALL walked away with a smile on our face. We cannot wait to return next year!! Whether you are a sports fan or not, this is one family experience that is worth checking out!
