To be honest, before hearing about this Bible, I was completely unfamiliar with Tony Evans. I tend to think of myself as pretty well informed about the big names in Christian culture, but this one that I was unaware of. It was not the name that appealed to me, but rather the style of the Bible. My husband had been in the market for a new Bible and wanted something that had this same type of leather look--- classic and sophisticated. He also wanted something that had a lot of notes, etc included. I thought this Bible might be just what he was looking for.

Seeing it in person for the first time, I was even more impressed than I had been by the pictures/description.

First up, let's talk about this style. This Bible is absolutely stunning. For women I feel like there are so many beautiful Bibles that match our individual styles, whereas for men there are more limited options--- or at least limited options without breaking the bank. While we certainly should never judge a book by it's cover... and especially a Bible, there is still something about a beautiful book that cannot help but grab my attention. The style of this particular version is so classic and timeless. It is one that men certainly can appreciate, but truly is great for anyone and everyone.

Inside, the content is every bit as wonderful. There are a ton of notes to help the reader gain a better understanding of what they are reading including book introductions and notes throughout. My husband always enjoys the charts, maps, etc in a Bible too so those really appealed to him in this one.

Whether you are familiar with and a fan of Tony Evans or not, this is a GREAT Bible and one worth checking out.
