Epic: The Story that Changed the World is a graphic novel style Bible storybook featuring 40 stories and life-application questions circling back to the one big story of Jesus and making biblical events more relevant for today's youth. The book features familiar yet reimagined art from the One Big Story brand that is perfect for engaging older kids and preteen readers.

This B&H Kids book includes a Parent Connection, an easy tool to help moms and dads (or anyone else who loves kids) discuss the book's message with their child. We're all about connecting parents and kids to each other and to God's Word.

B&H Kids creates Bible-centered, age appropriate, engaging content for kids. Our resources are designed to help kids develop a lifelong relationship with Jesus and to empower parents to guide them in their spiritual growth.

Both of my kids love comic books.... and let's be honest, what kid doesn't right? They're full of great adventures and action filled sequences. Even kids who aren't huge readers can find themselves getting drawn into the fun images that we've come to know and expect from comic books. So, doesn't it make sense that kids would also love to learn about the most action packed, hero driven, EPIC story in the world...as a comic? That's right, we're talking about the story of the Bible!

Over the years, it seems we have seen more and more comic/graphic novel style Bibles making an appearance. I love this, because I truly feel we need to reach kids in a way that interests them, and for those kids who love comic books... this truly is a way to do that. But that leads to the question, if there are already similar books on the market...what makes this one so special?

For me, there were two things that stuck out. First and foremost, the style. My kids have several other One Big Story bible story books, and we have come to love the beautiful, fun styles of those books. The characters featured in this one look very much like that same style, but just in a comic form.

Aside from that, many of the other bible stories that we have seen in this style have been geared more towards teens--- and even adults. This is great, but what about for the younger kids who love comics? This is a great solution. It's not JUST comics either. While the illustrations are certainly in that style, there is a lot of content as well... so for those who worry that perhaps kids might not get enough of the story, this one certainly addresses that issue.

Overall, my kids are loving the style and I love seeing them interested in Bible stories in a fun new way! If you have a kid who loves the action and adventures of their favorite comic book heroes, this is one Bible story book you are going to want to check out!
