It follows the story of a French peasant who seeks redemption for serving 19 years in jail for stealing a loaf of bread for his sister’s starving child against the backdrop of the French Revolution.

3. Matilda The Musical

Roald Dahl’s popular children's novel gets reworked by Dennis Kelly with music and lyrics from Australian comedian/musician Tim Minchin. The funny and charming tale follows 5-year-old Matilda who discovers that she has the gift of telekinesis which she uses to overcome her difficult life and help her teacher to reclaim her life. 4. The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night Time

Based on the best-selling British novel of the same name by Mark Haddon, this highly successful play adapted by Simon Stephens tied the record for winning the most Olivier awards during its premiere run. The story is about a teenage boy with Aspergers who investigates the death of a neighbor’s dog. It is a touching, funny and moving production and a great re-imagining of one of the great modern British classic novels.
