It's the season of gratitude, what are you thankful for!?

This year, I am very excited to be participating in Illustrated Faith's 100 Days of Grace & Gratitude, which I started yesterday. (You can learn more about that and enter to win a copy of the journal here.)

For me, journaling my gratitude is a great way to really focus on that... to keep it at the front of my mind, and to  show it in what I hope to be a beautiful way. But what supplies do YOU need to get started in illustrating YOUR gratitude? Here are a few of my favorites:

Journaling Pens.

Whether you are doing art journaling or just taking notes, good pens are a MUST. I love these precision pens from Illustrated Faith myself, and am always buying new ones!

Paints.

Acrylic or watercolor, you can't go wrong either way! Paint is such a great way to add those more vibrant colors to every page! For acrylics, my go to is the Hand Made Modern Brand from Target. They offer a wide variety of colors, and always go on very vibrantly. For watercolors, I absolutely love the set from Illustrated Faith. It has a great variety of colors, and I'm always pleased with how they look in my Bible (though I certainly do wish my watercolor skills were up to par!)

Die Cuts and/or Stickers.

Listen, I'm no artist! These allow me to have beautiful images...without being able to draw! They add colors and layers and fun! The bulk of my personal journaling stash consists of a LOT of both!

A Journaling Bible.

Of course, you cannot journal without a place to do so, right? You can definitely use a regular journal if you're more comfortable with that (or the 100 Days Journals made just for that purpose), but I personally love journaling in my actual Bible. There are a great variety to choose from, but on my personal wishlist is of course the Illustrating Bible from Illustrated Faith. With it's wider margins, spiral binding and thicker pages, it truly is made with the art journaler in mind.

These are just a handful of my favorites, but there truly are so many options to choose from depending on your personal preferences, budget and style!

As part of the Gobble Till Ya' Wobble Giveaway Hop event, one lucky reader is going to get the chance to jump start their gratitude journaling with a Bible journaling grab bag valued at at least $20!! Enter using the giveaway form below:
