Journaling Outside the Margins {An ESV Journaling Bible, Interleaved Edition Review & Giveaway}

**Bible received for review. All thoughts are my own!

Do you ever look at a typical journaling Bible and think to yourself, 'There just isn't enough room for everything I'd like to do!'

You want to start Bible journaling, but staying within the margins? That seems impossible! What do you do? Some make the decision to use their journaling Bible just for art and find that covering the words is something that they're okay with. Personally, while I don't mind going over the margins, I do want to be certain the words are still visible.

Does this sound like you?

Don't count Bible journaling out just yet, today I'm excited to share a Bible that may be just what you're looking for- ESV Journaling Bible, Interleaved Edition!

Patterned after the Bible that Jonathan Edwards, the 18th-century preacher and theologian, used to record more than 5,000 notes about God’s Word, the ESV Journaling Bible, Interleaved Edition features a full, blank page next to every page of Bible text. Created for Bible readers looking for as much space as possible for sermon notes, personal reflections, prayers, or artwork, this edition features cream-colored paper and a durable binding to ensure that it lasts a lifetime.

The Journaling Bible, Interleaved Edition is destined to set a new standard when it comes to innovative Bibles designed for those who are eager to engage with God’s Word on a deeper level.

Features:

Includes a full, blank page for notes, reflections, and prayers next to every page of Bible text
Cream-colored paper
Through the Bible in a Year reading plan
Smyth-sewn binding
Permanent slipcase

That's right, with this Bible you are not confined to just whatever artwork you can fit in the small margins- you have a WHOLE page to work with! Imagine the artwork you can create! You can draw and paint elaborate works of art with no fear of covering any words. Not an artist? That's okay too, though the space is unlined, you can still use it for note taking during sermons or your personal Bible studies!

Naturally, due to having one blank page for every page of writing, this Bible is BIG. Take a look at it next to the standard ESV journaling Bible.

If you're looking for a compact Bible great for easy traveling, this is probably not going to be your best bet. It's not just thicker, but it's also larger overall. But if you're looking for something that will hold everything you want it to hold without limitations on space... this is a must have.

So, what can you do with all of that extra space? Here are a few ideas:

  • Take Notes. I don't know about you, but when I take notes, I'm all over the place. The margins in a typical Bible or even journaling Bible? They simply don't have enough space for my thoughts and ideas. This Bible provides plenty of space, and even leftover room for random doodles too!

  • Make It A Keepsake Journal. Write down all of your thoughts on the verses you're reading and how they speak to you personally. Keep it to look back upon as your faith grows, or use it to write these notes and thoughts out to pass along to your children.

  • Scrapbook. Are you a scrapbooker? With the extra space in this Bible, take those scrapbooking skills and bring them to your Bible. Add pictures, add notes, add keepsakes. This could be a really fun, creative way to chronicle all of the blessings that God has sent your way.

  • Create Beautiful Works of Art. Whether its sketching or painting or even mixed media, you can take all of those techniques that you had been or would have used in your typical journaling Bible and create them on a bigger scale.

  • Don't Confine Yourself To The Pages. With the particular style I received, the cover was so simple that I was able to truly personalize it and make it my own!
