Supporting Small Local Businesses

I have said several times here on my blog, that I absolutely love supporting small businesses! I much prefer knowing that the money I spend is going directly to help a work at home mom and directly supporting a family, rather than paying for yet another vacation for some bigwig CEO. You may have noticed (or will notice as more are posted) that many of the companies featured in my Preparing for Baby Review & Giveaway Event are for small businesses, Etsy shops, etc...like I said, I love supporting them and sharing them with all of you as well! (Not to mention, they tend to make super cute, really unique items as well!)

Right now, Intuit is granting 15 small businesses a wish (up to $5000) to help support and grow their business...if you own a small biz yourself, you know that $5000 can make a huge difference!! Businesses can submit their business wish, get their supporters to vote for them, and 15 lucky businesses will actually have that wish granted! How wonderful is that!?

A small shop fairly close to me that I adore, The Little Green Bean Boutique is in the running for this, and if you have a minute, I'd love if you could head over and click vote...it's as simple as that! This business is truly deserving- it's a great little shop...half consignment/half handmade baby/children goods (think Etsy type items). So not only is the store itself a small business, but the items featured in the shop are from local small businesses/crafters as well. They also offer cloth diaper classes, and is in general a fun little place to shop! I love it, and I know that with this grant, it could be even better!! So, again, if you have a minute, stop by this link and cast your vote!!

(This is NOT a sponsored post...I received no compensation and was not asked to post, just simply helping out a local business that I happen to personally enjoy...there's nothing in it for me at all!!)
