I was recently given the opportunity to check out this book for myself and share some thoughts. Admittedly, as someone who does freelance work from home, I've never considered myself a career woman... more like a stay-at-home mom with some side hustles to help out where I can. So, honestly, I was rather surprised when I started reading this one and found myself relating to so many of these struggles. Imposter syndrome? Got it. Finding that balance between being confident in my capabilities and wanting to share those accomplishments while also remaining humble, often leading to underselling myself? Well, that's the story of my life! These are just two of the examples of the many times I found myself nodding along as I read. I love how the author approached these topics, sharing both her own personal experiences as well as plenty of scriptural references to really root the advice given in the Word. Did everything in this book apply to me personally? No... but I very much appreciated the aspects that did. And for those women who do hold a career outside of their home, I can only imagine how much more they are going to get out of this one as well. If you're struggling with confidence in the workplace, balancing your faith and career, or seeking to glorify God as you advance in the workplace, this is absolutely one worth checking out.
