The Book
Artie Fletcher craves excitement.
Preferably the kind that doesn’t involve cleaning gas station bathrooms or convincing customers not to flush their pets down the toilet.
So when gorgeous, sunshiny Leigh skips into his life, Artie makes the wildly heroic decision to help her rescue said baby alligator . . . after saving her from a psycho holding up the gas station, that is.
Now Artie and Leigh are running for their lives, and Artie’s trying his best to flirt despite the disaster his day has become. Somewhere along the way, he ended up with a stolen motorcycle, an alligator who seems personally offended by his existence, and a growing hope that Leigh might actually like him back.
Turns out adventure is a lot messier than Artie imagined—and surviving the alligator might be the easy part.
The Extraordinary Day of Artie Fletcher is a new adult adventure romcom with faith themes.
The Author
Storm Shultz is an author of cozy and romantic faith-filled fiction with Southern roots.
Her books feature cozy elements and often a charmingly destructive pet. She is especially partial to themes of forgiveness, but above all, she strives to draw her readers closer to the Lord. When she isn't writing, Storm spends her time baking, thrifting, chasing after her children, and hanging out with her husband. Basically, living her dream life.
Book Review
Oh my goodness, an extraordinary day indeed!I have to admit; I went into this one completely blind. I had enjoyed the author's previous books, so I didn't read the blurb or anything about it before jumping in. And let me tell you, I highly recommend doing the same, if possible... it made for such a fun reading experience. But don't worry, if you've already read the blurb, there are still plenty of surprises in store for you just the same. I won't say much so as to avoid any spoilers, but one of the things I loved most about this story was the Artie truly was just an ordinary guy... no hidden billions, no fancy job, no six-pack abs, just your ordinary gas station employee. I think that made all the adventure that he suddenly found himself thrown into all the more entertaining... because he wasn't your typical romance book hero. I also loved that it was told through his POV and that the story pretty much takes place over the course of one day (but seriously, what a day it was). Artie and Leigh's story was full of fast-paced adventure that kept me at the edge of my seat, great chemistry and moments of faith that only made me love it more. This one felt so unique and unexpected... and I absolutely couldn't put it down!
The Extraordinary Day of Artie Fletcher is a faith-filled romance with kisses only and no language.
