"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. - Jeremiah 29:11
I like lists. I like order. I like predictability.
And yet, if there is one thing that I have learned time and time again it's that regardless of how hard we try to plan and do all the things to produce the outcome that we hope for, life doesn't always fall in line with those plans.
An unexpected phone call. A devastating diagnosis. A turn we did not see coming.
No matter how hard we try to plan our lives, sometimes things just don't work out how we'd hoped. The verse above is a beautiful reminder that even when OUR plans fail, His never will.
But still, what do we do when life doesn't go how we expected? Today, I'm excited to share Just One Life, an upcoming film that I am very excited to check out for myself.
After years spent caring for her mother, Renee moves across the country in search
of a fresh start. When she meets Sam, an astronomy professor whose optimism and
faith challenge her outlook, an unlikely connection transforms the way she sees
herself, her future, and the possibilities she thought she'd lost.
Questions that reach far beyond the screen:
• How do we find hope when life doesn't go as planned?
• Can faith endure when the answers never come?
• What if one ordinary life could make an extraordinary difference?

This looks like such a beautiful movie, and more importantly one that will inspire conversations long after the questions roll. Questions like:
Question
Is life random, or is there purpose even when we cannot see it?
Seek
Can faith, science and honest questions coexist?
Love
What makes one life truly significant?
Trust
How do we trust God when we cannot see what comes next?
Pray
Where do we take our questions when faith becomes personal?
Live
How will we live the life God has given us?
I, for one, will be very much looking forward to seeing this one when it releases. Will you be joining me?
