The Book
Sometimes the hardest part of a second chance is believing you deserve one.
Eliza
I've always believed in the power of words and color. My murals and hand-painted signs brighten Penrose Beach, even if my own life has felt dull and faded. Three years ago, my marriage ended—and when my ex cheated, both of our families took his side. I've been standing on my own ever since, brush in hand, determined to rebuild something beautiful, even if the loneliness still lingers.
Levi
Owning a marina keeps me busy, maybe too busy. I tell myself the long hours are about keeping the business thriving, but it's easier to face the tide than an empty house. I've been drifting through life, steady on the surface but restless underneath. And then there's Eliza Duncan—her art, her laugh, the way she sees more than I'd like anyone to. I can't ignore her, even when I try.
When the mural project pulls us together, the walls we've built around our hearts start to crack. But second chances aren't easy—not when old wounds and fears of the future threaten to undo everything.
Maybe, just maybe, the tides aren't the only things that know how to come back home.

The Author
By day, Britney M. Mills is the wife to a builder and mom to five, but by night, she turns into an author, writing closed door romcom and sports romance.
A book lover, former college athlete, and Jane Austen fan, she crafts stories with the idea that anyone can find love.
When she's not writing, she spends time playing games with her kids, or shuttling them to and from their activities, watching Castle and Persuasion, or dreaming of future characters while she folds a mountain of laundry.
Book Review
What a sweet addition to the series this was! Eliza and Levi got off to a rather messy start... quite literally! Both of these two have been hurt by past relationships, and Eliza particularly has walls built up to protect her heart from falling again. Still, the connection between these two was undeniable and I loved seeing the healing throughout their story and seeing her get the type of love she truly deserved. Between an awkward meet cute, smalltown vibes and a sweet 12-year-old daughter, there was a lot to love about this story. It's a quick read- easily read in just a sitting or two but didn't feel rushed or incomplete. If you enjoy a good later in life romance, this is a book/series you won't want to miss.Eliza Duncan's Last First Kiss is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language. It is part of the Valentine's Midlife Meet Cute series. This is a multi-author series of later in life Valentine romcoms that can all be enjoyed as standalones or in any order.
