**Bible received for consideration. All opinions are my own.
It seems like 2025 just began, and yet here we are nearing the end quickly. As we head into the holiday season, many people are already thinking ahead to what the next year will bring... and for many Christians, that includes goals of reading our Bibles more... or even reading through it in a year. That can seem a little daunting, but did you know it's possible to read through the Bible in one year in as little as 15 minutes a day? The One Year Bible can help.
I was recently given the chance to receive my choice of the One Year Bible for Women or the One Year Bible for Men to share some thoughts. I opted to receive the One Year Bible for Men to gift to one of the men in my life. Take a look:
The One Year Bible for Men combines the bestselling daily Bible reading format with encouraging two-minute daily devotionals written just for men to create a one-of-a-kind devotional Bible that men of all ages will love.
This 365-day NLT Bible in the bestselling One Year collection is designed specifically for men. This handsomely designed men’s devotional Bible features the clear and trusted New Living Translation. Men can follow along each day through the designated Scripture readings and finish the entire Bible in one year in as little as 15 minutes a day.
Key features of this men’s Bible include:
- Daily readings from the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs
- 100-word daily devotional thoughts written by Stephen Arterburn
- The accurate and understandable New Living Translation (NLT)
- Makes a great gift for couples or individuals!
This is the first from the One Year collection, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. This one is definitely different than any of the Bibles I currently have in my collection... even those that do include one year reading plans within their pages. Why? Rather than your typical layout with each book in order, this one actually lays out the reading plan-- which includes daily reading in both the New and Old Testament-- in order of how it's intended to be read. So, for instance, on January 1st, you'll read Genesis 1:1-2:25, Matthew 1:1-2:12, Psalm 1: 1-6, and Proverbs 1: 1-6... which spans pages 1-4 in this Bible, each passage back-to-back. If you've ever used a Bible reading plan that has you flipping back and forth before, you know how convenient this is. That said, because of this layout, this particular Bible is going to be most useful when used for its intended purpose... reading daily. Looking up individual passages is going to be a lot harder, and as such, I'd definitely recommend having another Bible for that purpose as well. It is also important to note that it is divided out by specific days, not numbered days (January 1st rather than Day 1), making it perfect to start in the new year. (You could still probably start at the beginning on any day of the year, but personally, I think that would get very confusing for me.)
If you're looking for a great Bible that will make it easy to read through in a year, this is definitely one worth checking out for yourself. The One Year Bible for Men follows the same reading plan as the One Year Bible for Women, making it a great resource for couples looking to read through their Bibles together too!
