The Book

When Carter Hayes has the chance to leave town and his family behind, he can't jump on the opportunity fast enough.

Rosie Parker is living the life she's always dreamed of...or so she thought. After getting fired and dumped on the same day, she's back in her hometown starting from square one again and thrown into planning the town's annual Yule Tides Festival.

There's one major missing piece to planning the big event and it lies within Carter's grandmother's journal.

Forced into planning the event together, the two have to work on decoding a secret message hidden throughout its pages... and discover more than they bargained for in the process.

Kelsey Whitney is a romantic comedy and women's fiction writer living in the mountains of West Virginia with a heart for the coast. You can generally find her with her nose in a book, whether that's on the beach or snuggled with her daughter on her front porch and a glass of lemonade.

Book Review

When I think about the books that made me fall in love with reading as a child, it was always those books that had a little hint of mystery or hidden secrets to be uncovered... secret passageways, old journals, etc... so this idea of a secret message hidden in a grandmother's journal? Yes, this was very reminiscent of those stories for me... and only made me love this cozy, beachside Christmas romance all that much more! Carter and Rosie drew me in with their undeniable chemistry right away. I loved seeing them work together to figure out this secret message... and though Carter's grandmother had already passed before the story ever begins, I loved getting to know this quirky character throughout as well. There was something about this story that just felt like the perfect, cozy holiday romance- a hug in story form... and I couldn't help but enjoy every single moment. If you love small towns, Christmas and just a hint of mystery (and also, pie), you will definitely want to add this one to your holiday TBR. 

Easy As Pie is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.
