Chloe Foster's Holiday Rewrite by Britney M. Mills: Book Review

**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.

The Book

A big-city detour, a small-town fight, and one romance making a comeback.

Chloe

I didn’t plan on spending December sorting through my grandparents’ house, but here I am—back in Penrose Beach. After being passed over for a promotion, escaping the city sounded like a good idea. What I didn’t expect? Running into Brock Ashford. My first love. The guy I left behind when I swore I was too big for this town. Now he owns the coziest bed and breakfast—and it’s about to be flattened by developers. And only I can help him save it.

Brock

I thought I’d moved on from Chloe Foster. Then she walked back into town with that stubborn grin and big-city determination. Saving the B&B has always been my dream, but working side by side with her makes me wonder if Christmas has a different plan. Maybe this time, I won’t just save the inn—I’ll get a second chance at love.

Chloe Foster's Holiday Rewrite, a second-chance romance novella, is book 9 of the Letters to Mrs. Claus multi-author series—a kisses-only romantic comedy collection bursting with holiday cheer. Each story is linked through Mrs. Claus’s Operation Mistletoe Match, where she receives a letter from a meddling friend or family member about someone lonely, heartbroken, or closed off to love. With her timeless wisdom, Mrs. Claus pens a tailored message to the subject of the letter, offering an inspiring note that tackles their romantic roadblock. Packed with hilarious mishaps, flustered blushes, and courageous adventures as they chase their happily-ever-after in this no-spice, swoon-worthy series!

The Author

By day, Britney M. Mills is the wife to a builder and mom to five, but by night, she turns into an author, writing closed door romcom and sports romance.

A book lover, former college athlete, and Jane Austen fan, she crafts stories with the idea that anyone can find love.

When she's not writing, she spends time playing games with her kids, or shuttling them to and from their activities, watching Castle and Persuasion, or dreaming of future characters while she folds a mountain of laundry.

Book Review

Coming home for Christmas and a second chance at romance? Yes, please! I always enjoy a good second chance romance, and when they happen over the holidays? Even better. (And with all that history, they make for great novellas too!) This story truly felt like stepping into a Hallmark movie, complete with a B&B that needed some saving, and I found myself enjoying seeing Chloe and Brock fall in love all over again... with the help of a little North Pole magic! These two had a really sweet and easy chemistry that I couldn't help but enjoy. This is a super quick read, easily read in just a sitting or two, but packed full of holiday cheer making it an ideal choice for the busy holiday season. This was another super fun addition to this sweet series!

Chloe Foster's Holiday Rewrite is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language. It is part of the Letters to Mrs. Claus series, a multi-author series of standalone holiday novellas that can be enjoyed in any order.
