The Book
I’m totally fine if America wants to cast me as the villain. So why do I care if brooding football player Will Pemberton believes it too?
But honestly? It stings more than it should when Will—grumpy football star and walking scowl—judges me based on a five-second video from Being the Bennets, my family’s reality TV show.
Maybe it’s because his best friend is dating my sister. We’re supposed to be polite strangers. Civil, at best.
Instead, we clash at every turn. I’m sunshine and social media. He’s silence and game film. I’ve built an empire from the spotlight. He avoids it at all costs.
We couldn’t be more different.
And yet…
He keeps showing up. With my favorite cookies. With help when I don’t ask for it. With patience I don’t deserve. He even puts his MVP goals on the line to help my family.
He’s supposed to be the enemy. But the longer we’re orbiting each other, the harder it is to deny there’s more beneath that scowl.
And when I find out the truth behind the gossip that made me hate him in the first place?
Let’s just say he’s not the only one who got things wrong.
Now I have to decide if I’m ready to take a chance on the man who’s been quietly falling for me all along.
Not That Impressed is a slow burn, enemies-to-lovers, opposites-attract romance inspired by Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice. It’s full of football, family drama, and a grumpy football player who falls first and hard.
The Author
In a house overrun by boys, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Raneé loves football and enjoys watching (and playing!) other sports as well, like basketball and baseball. When she’s not chauffeuring three busy boys to various activities (and sometimes while she is!), Raneé is either writing, reading (usually romance), obsessing over clothes in the form of her online boutique, or figuring out how to get a Crumbl cookie in rural Wyoming. When her real-life love interest can drag her away from imaginary worlds, she doesn’t mind spending some time with him in the great outdoors that he loves.

Book Review
Anytime I review a book that is inspired by Pride and Prejudice (or any Jane Austen book) as this one is, I feel it's important to confess that I have never read a Jane Austen book. So, when it comes to sharing any similarities or differences or fun nods to the original story...? Well, I'm completely clueless! What I do know is that I have loved this entire series, all Jane Austen inspired, just the same... and this one was certainly no exception! To say that Will and Ellie didn't get off to a great start would be an understatement. As a reality TV star and a professional football player, neither is a stranger to having rumors said about themselves... nor are they immune to falling for those rumors about each other either, getting things off to a tense start between them. But as the relationship between her sister and his best friend grows, they find themselves spending more time together and discovering who they are beyond those rumors. The chemistry between them was fantastic, and I personally can never resist a good he falls first story. Throw in a twist that took things on a more suspenseful turn than I was expecting, and I absolutely couldn't put this one down. This one is absolutely a must read. Not That Impressed is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language. It is the third book of the Houston Pumas Sports Romance series and while those who have read the previous books will enjoy seeing some familiar characters, I do believe that this could be enjoyed as a standalone as well. Please note that this story does deal with some sensitive topics that could be triggering for some readers. I definitely recommend reading the author's note to decide if it's a good choice for you.
