The Book
When his best friend is in peril, a grumpy ex-military hero is honored to protect her. This might be a chance for them to be more than friends—or a chance to get killed.
After a patient nearly told her a secret before dying, small-town nurse Kaylee Byrne is attacked and runs for her life—right into the arms of the friend she has a crush on. It’s difficult to stay an eternal optimist under flying bullets, and even more difficult not to fall for her protector.
Together with his service dog, Roswell Stutton is the newest member of the Honor Team. He doesn’t expect his first assignment to be guarding his best buddy. Trauma PTSD stops him from seeking a relationship with the cheerful, sweet redhead, but he’ll do everything to keep her safe once he learns the dangerous secret—including safe from him...

Book Review
To Honor and Protect is the third book in the Honor and Danger Team series. While those who have read the previous books will see some familiar characters, I do think this could be enjoyed as a standalone as well. What a story! Each book in this series has been a fast-paced romantic suspense that has kept me on the edge of my seat and left me excited for what was to come next... but this one might just be my favorite yet. I love a protective MMC, and Ros certainly fits that bill. He and Kaylee have been best friends for years and when danger seems to be following her, he steps in to keep her safe... and the chemistry becomes undeniable. I really loved these two together. PTSD played such a huge role in their story, and as a military wife, I definitely think this is something that needs more attention, so I was glad to see that representation--- though it certainly doesn't make in an easy story to read, by any means. There were definitely some twists that I didn't see coming and I loved that it kept me guessing to the end. Once again, we're left with a little teaser as to what's to come next... and I cannot wait! If you're looking for a quick Christian romantic suspense, this is one you'll definitely want to add to your TBR.
