Book Review

Burning Justice is the sixth and final book in the Chasing Fire: Alaska series and is also connected to previous series, so I believe some characters were previously introduced there as well. I'll be honest, I had only read the first book in this particular series and likewise have only read some, but not all, of the books set in this same world. While I was definitely still able to enjoy this one as a standalone, there were times when I definitely felt like there was history I was missing--- though not enough that I felt completely lost. I do think that those who have read the series in order will absolutely appreciate this story all that much more though.

Right from the very start, this story drops us into the action and doesn't give us much chance to catch our breath through the end. It was nonstop adventure... in the very best way possible. If you're looking for a book with just a hint of suspense... well, this one isn't going to be it. These characters are put through the highest of stakes and I found myself at the very edge of my seat wanting to see how it was all going to play out in the end. In the midst of all that action, I couldn't help but root for the romance between Kane and Maria too. More than anything though, I think it was the beautiful messages of faith that truly took this story to the next level. There were moments of redemption and reminders of God's grace that I just absolutely loved. If you're looking for your next great Chistian suspense read, this book and series are certain to deliver.
