**Prize pack received for consideration. All thoughts are my own.

 Kids LOVE birthdays!

My kids celebrate their half-birthdays this month, and already they are counting down the days. Birthdays are fun and exciting when you're a child, and we can't help but want to celebrate! (Even if we as mamas wish those birthdays didn't come back again so quickly!)

Today, I'm excited to share a few National Geographic Kids books that are absolutely worth celebrating too! Check them out:

Weird But True! Birthdays  (Paperback, $8.99, ages 8-12) This fun-filled fact book takes the cake! Did you know that on each birthday, you are 31,536,000 seconds older than you were on your last birthday? Or that the winner at the world birthday-cake-eating championship ate 14.5 pounds of cake in just under eight minutes? How about that you likely share your birthday with about 20.8 million other people around the globe?
Unwrap 300 wacky facts and pictures showcasing the hilarious history, crazy coincidences, awesome astrological beliefs, and surprising statistics behind birthdays. You’ll be blown away by the world’s craziest cakes, most elaborate decorations, and most grandiose gifts to ever commemorate a year in the life.
Weird But Truel World 2023  (Hardcover, $24.99, ages 8-12) A 10 out 10 for gift giving! Discover Earth’s strangest animals, natural formations, festivals, ancient wonders, news, and more in this newest addition to the wildly popular Weird But True! family―an annual compendium of everything Weird But True! fans love ... and then some.
Readers will journey across the seven continents, dive into the ocean, and even blast off into space to discover a whole wide world of weird. From the troll doll bug of Suriname to the Bog Snorkeling Championships in Wales to a technicolor village in Indonesia, Weird But True! World offers an unparalleled, adventure-filled exploration of our world’s amazing uniqueness.

As I've said before, my daughter loves birthdays! But do you know what else she loves? Weird But True books. Out of all of the books in her National Geographic Kids library, these are the ones that she finds herself reading over and over again. Not only that, but she's constantly filling the rest of the family in on all of the random bits of knowledge that she's learned from them. A typical conversation in our home goes a little something like this:

Her: Did you know (insert random fact here)?
Me: No, I didn't.
Her: I learned that in Weird But True.

They are great books and perfect as a boredom buster, so I'm thrilled that she enjoys them as much as she does. When she heard about the Weird But True! Birthdays book, the excitement was doubled! This fun book combines all the fun of birthdays with all the fun of Weird But True. It's just like her other Weird But True books with brightly colored images and fun facts galore--- but all the facts center around birthdays! And she absolutely loved it!

Weird But True! World 2023  is another must have for true fans! This is so packed full of facts and fun. ith new editions coming out each year, it's certainly something worth looking forward to as well. Both of these books truly are ideal for gift giving for kids of all ages!

To make it even more exciting, National Geographic Kids has put together an amazing prize pack filled with birthday themed goodies! My daughter LOVED it! It's the perfect gift for birthdays, of course, but truly fun for any time as well.
