I love Christmas movies!
Seriously, they are some of my absolute favorites! The music, the tradition, the feel good messages... I simply cannot get enough. There are some movies that I have to watch every year--- the traditional classics that so many of us grew up watching... but I also love finding new holiday movies to enjoy all season long as well.

About the Movie:
An elderly man struggles with the death of his wife until his estranged foster child and her young daughter re-enter his life and give him a new purpose to live.
This movie was absolutely fantastic. Based on the description, I really wasn't sure what to expect... but it was a heartwarming story that had me reaching for the tissues a time or two. It took on some tough issues (such as abuse), so it might be one you'll want to check out yourself before deciding if it's one to allow younger children to watch. That said, it was a wonderful story that had such a fantastic message of faith. I loved seeing this small town come together for people- just as a community...and a family should!
What I found really interesting about this movie was that it really celebrated the idea of the families that are chosen. I think it is really wonderful to celebrate the families formed in different ways. This particular movie celebrated a foster family and a community that becomes like family. Lifemark and Legacy Peak likewise talk about adoption and stepparents too. Family might look different from person to person, but I feel like these movies and Pure Flix really do well to truly celebrate the family.
