When an NBA team suddenly announces open tryouts, a high school janitor gets a second chance at both love and life.
I'm not a sports person. My knowledge of sports is quite slim... I might know the difference between a homerun and a touchdown, but that's about as far as my knowledge on the subject goes.
Still, while I don't watch the sports themselves, there is something about a sports movie that I can't help but enjoy! There's something about underdogs overcoming that I think we all need a little more of... and there always seems to be another great lesson to be learned from this type of movie, even for those of us who aren't sports people.
Nothing Is Impossible is one such movie. Check it out!

As I said, a good sports movie tends to have some type of message that even non-athletes can learn from. Oftentimes that message is quite simply to never give up and just keep pushing forward whatever obstacles might be standing in our way. That's a good message, of course, but we've seen it. A lot. And yes, this certainly does play a part in this story too. However, that's not the only message we get from Nothing Is Impossible. This movie also gives us a great reminder to trust in God's timing and His plans for our life. It is easy to be discouraged and down on ourselves when things do not work out the way that we had planned for ourselves. I know I am certainly guilty of that myself. And yet, God's plans are always so much better than any we could have ever imagined for ourselves, and His timing is always right on time. It also reminds us of the importance of letting go of our pasts.
Beyond being about the game though, this one had some romance in it as well... which I absolutely love. Second-chance romances tend to be some of my very favorites, so this was certainly right up my alley. Between the sports references and the love story, I felt like this had a little bit of something for everyone.
