What is the best gift you have ever received?

We all have those gifts that stand out above the rest, but the real fun isn't usually in the getting... but in the giving! Still, we all have at least one person in our lives that is near impossible to shop for. They either don't want much... or if there is something they DO want, they just get it themselves. You know the kind, right? So, what do we get those people? Today we're taking a look at some unique gift ideas that just might have your gift recipient answering that first question with a gift you gave!

  • Give an Experience

Things are fine... but over time, we all tend to acquire a lot of things... especially those who have it all already. Instead of buying a typical gift, consider the idea of giving an experience. This can be as simple as a picnic or dinner out... or as extravagant as going all out with an exotic trip. Long after those things have collected dust or been thrown out, the memories made will go on making this a truly fantastic gift option.

  • Consider Their Hobbies

What does your recipient enjoy the most? How do they spend their free time? What could you gift them that could help make those hobbies even better? Consider all of this when choosing a gift. For the artist, find out what kind of art supplies they use and stock up for them. My husband is a car guy, so Jeep accessories are always a good option for him. Know a man (or woman) who loves to hunt? Check out https://www.tenpointcrossbows.com/product-category/crossbow-accessories/crossbow-scopes-and-scope-accessories/ to find them a fantastic new scope for their beloved crossbow! It might not be something you would typically think to give, but it could be something that they will get more use out of than another tie or scented candle!

  • Use Your Talents

Oftentimes the difficulty in finding the right gift has less to do with receiver... and more to do with your own budget. The good news is gifts do not have to be expensive to be fantastic. Use the skills you have to give what you can. If you're a hobbyist photographer, offer a photo session. If you love to bake, homemade treats are always fantastic. DIY gifts are so often some of my favorites to receive as I know the heart that goes into creating them.

  • Go For the Practical

As great as a typical gift is, sometimes practical can be even better. This is especially true if someone is strapped for cash or otherwise in need of help. A stressed out mom may love an offer of babysitting or help around the house. Mowing the lawn for a neighbor could easily make their day. These are gifts that cost nothing but time. On the other side, financial gifts can be wonderful too. Help with a bill can eliminate a lot of stress. Do they have a job (or are they looking for one) that requires special licensing or a bond to get started? If you're able, consider helping them reach those career goals. (Check out Bondsexpress.com for a wide variety of bonds that may be helpful.) That truly is a gift that can make a HUGE difference in someone's life and one they won't soon forget.

When it comes to gift giving, think outside the box. Consider the person you're gifting to and what would benefit them most and make it fun and unique! Still not sure where to begin? Click here for more gift inspiration.
