Journey back through childhood classics like Peter Pan, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and more in this adorable picture book about the joys of reading!

There is nothing like a book to take you to places you’ve never been. Best friends Foxy and Piggy can’t wait to tell each other about all of their adventures in reading! Flying over Neverland, swimming with a mermaid, joining in a mad tea party, soaring on a magic carpet—old classics come to life in the eyes of two little readers who can’t believe what they’ve seen. Journey back to old favorites and experience the magic all over again in this adorable picture book about the joys of reading!

Emily Ford has only ever worked in the world of children's books, apart from a very early foray into shoe fitting and face painting (she does a great tiger). She'll write on anything she can find—from notebooks to used envelopes and the backs of old receipts. As a child her handwriting was neat but now it's almost illegible—only she can read it. Emily lives and works in London.

In my house, we love books. Truly... we have HUNDREDS in our collection--- from picture books to children's chapter books and of course my very own book collection too. I loved books myself as a kid, and that is something that I truly wanted to pass along to my children. After all, you are never bored when you have a good book to read, right? As a kid growing up in the country, books were such a great escape for me. I might not be able to visit fancy places or go on epic adventures myself, but through books I saw it all. That's the magical thing about reading.

And that is just what this adorable book celebrates! The joy and adventure of reading!

And let me just say, we absolutely, positively LOVED it. Throughout the books these two friend- an adorable pig and fox share how their days have gone--- and the adventures they have taken part in. They visit some of the classic stories we all know and love like Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Goldilocks and the Three Bears and more. My daughter so enjoyed trying to figure out which stories they were visiting as we read through. As a family of book lovers, this one really appealed to us. It had a great flow that we just could not get enough of... honestly, we wished it could have gone on longer. Still, it really is the perfect length for bedtime...or just because! It also gave a great message on the power of a good book, and how great it can be to share the books we love ourselves with our friends!

If you love reading and are looking for a great book to read with the kids this summer that celebrates that, 'The Big Book Adventure' is a must have for your collection.

I love the classics! These would be so fun to read with and to my little ones this summer and into the school year. I'm trying to make reading aloud as a family more of a priority.
