Friendship Promises is a meaningful gift book, for both the giver and the recipient. Sharing these encouraging words will help friends walk confidently toward a sweet, strong relationship grounded in honesty, kindness, and a devotion to God and one another. Featuring reflections about friendship from Never Unfriended by Lisa-Jo Baker, and Craving Connection from the (in)courage community, Friendship Promises combines beautiful graphics with devotional reflections, prayers, Scripture, and journaling prompts. By giving this lovely book, you are sharing your heart to be a friend that is authentic, present, encouraging, and rooted in Christ.

At (in)courage you are welcome to a place of faith, connection and friendship, where you will always find yourself among friends. Founded in 2009 by DaySpring, the Christian products subsidiary of Hallmark Cards, Inc., the vision for (in)courage was to create a new home for the hearts of women, where women take turns pulling up a chair to share their stories of what Jesus looks like in their everyday, gloriously ordinary, and often messy lives. Since then, (in)courage has grown into a vibrant community that reaches thousands of women every day, welcoming them just the way they are, offering a space to breathe, loving support, and resources for meaningful connection.

Whenever I see a new (in)courage book has been released, I always get excited and know that I am going to love it for TWO reasons. First and foremost, the content. Having been reading (in)courage for somewhere around 10 years, I've come to love the devotions and articles they provide. Beautiful content, as though it's been written by a friend. And the second expectation? The beauty. Like I said, I have high expectations. Thankfully, this book did not disappoint!

First, let's talk content. Now, as a gift book this wasn't super content heavy. There are some short devotionals, of course and I absolutely loved those, but even more so it was filled with brief quotes, reflections and scriptures as well as prompts for journaling and of course the beautiful illustrations. Honestly, reading from start to finish could probably take you... oh, about an hour maybe if you read straight through. Like I said, it's not super content heavy but if you ask me it's quality over quantity...and it certainly has that. Each devotion is beautifully written and the quotes found throughout are just the little pearls of inspiration I love flipping through.

And the beauty? Oh... in that this book is even better. I love the beautiful photographs featured throughout--- they're pretty and feminine... just my style! The illustrations and gorgeous lettering throughout also have me wanting to pick it up and flip through the pages again and again. Absolutely stunning.

This is a great book to help us each reflect on the friendships God has placed in our lives, but beyond that it makes for a really great gift too. What friend wouldn't want to receive such a beautiful and meaningful surprise?
