What's on your summer reading list?

For me, this summer I've found that I am completely drawn to a good mystery! And today, I'm excited to share a GREAT one with all of you, 'The House at Saltwater Point'.

The dangerous beauty of Lavender Tides is harboring secrets that reach around the world.
Ellie Blackmore is making a name for herself as a house flipper. But when her sister Mackenzie disappears, Ellie can’t focus on anything but uncovering what happened. Her only clue is the bloodstain on the deck of Mackenzie’s boat. Ellie knows her sister isn’t on the best of terms with her ex-husband, Jason, but he wouldn’t kill her—would he?
Coast Guard intelligence officer Grayson Bradshaw believes Mackenzie faked her own death after stealing a seized cocaine shipment. The problem is convincing Ellie, who seems to view him as the true enemy.
Both Ellie and Grayson want truth, but truth—and family—is often more complex than it first appears. From international terrorism to the peaceful lavender fields of Puget Sound, The House at Saltwater Point is a thrilling race to uncover the truth before it’s too late.

Like I said, I love a good mystery. I love that thrill of wondering what's going to happen next. With each turn of the page I like trying to figure it all out. But I'll be honest, sometimes these mysteries can get a little... well, predictable. About halfway through it's often easy to guess just how it's going to end. But this book was not like that at all for me... it seemed like with every page there was more we were discovering, and it left me wondering what going to be revealed next. Not only did it have a lot of twists and turns, but there were a lot of little side stories that kept things interesting, and truly helped us to get a full look at each character. Those books that actually make characters seem like real people with rich and complicated backstories are some of my favorites. Not only was it packed full of suspense, but there was also some family drama and oh yes, romance too! But as a Christian novel, it wasn't over the top...something that I personally do not enjoy in a romance.

Now, I don't want to give anything away, but this truly is the best book I've read so far this summer! I truly could not get enough. This was the first book I had read by Colleen Coble or in the Lavender Tides series, but I am most certainly looking forward to more!

'The House At Saltwater Point' is available to purchase now at your favorite book retailers.
