As a mom, there is nothing that is more important to me than being able to stay home and take care of my children. While I know that is not everyone's desire and there is nothing wrong with that, it is how I always imagined motherhood would be for ME.

But let's be honest, these days it can be incredibly difficult to make it on just one income. We have so many expenses to keep up with that our grandparents (or even parents) did not have to deal with making it that much harder to make it work.

But CAN it be done?

With a little work, effort and creativity... YES! I truly do believe that most of us can figure out a way to make it work if it's truly something we're dedicated to. It takes some effort of course, and there may be some sacrifices we have to make along the way... but doesn't everything worth doing?

Today I'm excited to share a book that can help out- You Can Stay Home With Your Kids!:

Though I am generally a very thrifty person and pride myself on being able to do well with a budget, but after our income was cut in half a little over a year ago, I have been on the lookout for even more ways to cut back and help keep our family afloat. I had hoped that this book would provide me with just the inspiration I'd been needing.

Now I must admit, many of these were tricks that I'd already been putting into use. I've been married for 11+ years now and have been a stay-at-home/work-at-home mom for all of those years, so I'd picked up a lot along the way. Still, there were many that I hadn't yet thought of. It featured ways to cut down on spending, ways to eat well on a budget, ways to save on necessary expenses, ways to save on the fun stuff so you can still have fun experiences, even ways to create more income on the side. Want to save by creating your own household products? There's even a section for that!

If you're new to budget living, this book is going to be a MUST. There truly are so many tips to consider incorporating into you life that are easy to do! Even for those experienced thrifty living people can learn something new too!

If you're wanting to start or continue staying home with your kids, or even if you just want to stretch your two income family budget to save towards buying a house, college funds, whatever... this book is a great read. It is available to purchase now at your favorite book retailers:
