It's no secret by now that I absolutely, positively love all things Christmas. But there is perhaps nothing I love more than remembering the true spirit of the season leading up to the holidays. I am always on the lookout for great ways to do that, and so when I heard about the new 'The Beautiful Word for Christmas' book, I was intrigued:

Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.
Luke 2:11

Read the Christmas story like never before with favorite scriptures hand-lettered and illustrated. Celebrate the wondrous birth of Christ with 31 devotionals that will point each day to the Savor.

Savor the season with The Beautiful Word for Christmas.

This book includes:
23 Bible passages illustrated in full color
31 timely devotions written especially for the Christmas season
Activities to bring the heart of the season home

If you've been following long, you might recall me talking about The Beautiful Word in the past. In case you missed those or need a little recap, The Beautiful Word is a beautiful Bible that offers stunning illustrations and space for your own journaling to help you truly appreciate the beauty found in God's word. It's great for the visual readers like myself, and comes in a few different options such as a pre-colored version and a blank version that you are able to color yourself. But this one is a little bit different. It starts with pages telling the Christmas store in the gorgeous illustrations (fully colored) that I have come to love from Beautiful Word. I love that I can read this story with family every Christmas and take in the beauty over and over again.

That in and of itself would be plenty for me, but it's also followed by 31 daily devotionals to lead you to Christmas day. Each day starts with a scripture, then leads into a brief two page devotion, followed by a prayer. It then offers an activity to put whatever you read into practice.

Now I must admit, I have not read through this entire book yet as I want to wait until closer to Christmas to truly enjoy it, but I am loving what I have seen so far and cannot wait to dive in myself. If you're looking for a beautiful reminder of why we celebrate Christmas, The Beautiful Word for Christmas is a great choice.

The Beautiful Word for Christmas is available to purchase now at your favorite book retailers.
