When talking about Bible journaling, I'm often asked about supplies! What supplies do you HAVE to have to get started? What are my most used supplies? Where do I purchase said supplies?

So, today I wanted to share my top 5 journaling supplies... these aren't necessarily the same supplies that I would say are MUST haves, but the ones I reach for most often.

My Top 5 Bible Journaling Favorites

A GOOD Pen. This is a staple, and definitely a must have. Personally my go to choices are the Illustrated Faith journaling pens, but I also use Micron, or if over paint (no fear of bleeding), a simple Sharpie. A great pen can go a long way in journaling. I really love outlining alphabet stickers to make them POP!

Washi Tape. If you've seen my craft table you know that I have a bit of a washi obsession. But can you blame me!? it can be a great addition to any page. I also use it in my planner AND in my business for shipping, so it's all around a great thing to have on hand. In addition to traditional washi tape, I also love washi stickers on occasion. These are the same look and feel of washi, BUT instead of a whole roll, you get several varieties instead. Because I like to mix things up, this is a huge plus!

Paints. I prefer acrylics, but I like to have watercolor on hand too. My go to is the Handmade Modern paints from Target- they are inexpensive and have great, vibrant colors. I also really love the Illustrated Faith paints not only for the colors, but the convenience. I most often use the credit card trick, so these allow for easy application.

Stamps. I love a great stamp. I'm not the greatest artist, so they can bring is stunning illustrations effortlessly. Word stamps tend to be my favorites, but I also love florals and other fun designs too.

Clips/Tabs. To be honest, when I first started journaling I wasn't a huge fan of these. But after journaling for awhile it can be easy to lose pages, so I love being able to mark important pages. There's also something really beautiful to me about a Bible that's been marked and has a colorful assortment of tabs and clips galore.

So, there you have it, 5 of my personal go tos. Of course, my preferences are always changing but no matter my go tos at any given moment, Illustrated Faith ALWAYS makes the list one way or another!
