Scare Up a Treat with DIY Lollipop Ghosts

Last week, I shared some ideas for making Halloween a little more budget friendly. (You can read that post here.) One of those ideas was to buy cheaper candies, like simple lollipops. Today, I want to share with you a super easy DIY that will take that inexpensive treat to the next level.

DIY Lollipop Ghosts

  • Suckers of Choice
  • Tissues
  • String
  • Permanent Marker
  1. Center the sucker on the tissue and fold over.
  2. Tie a string under the candy part of the suck.
  3. Draw a ghostly face.
  4. Trick or Treat!!

Like I said, super easy, right? They could not be ANY easier actually. To keep these budget friendly, use whatever suckers you can find a deal on. We personally had a Blow Pop but even DumDum suckers will work, they'll just be a little smaller. You can also pick up tissues at your local Dollar Tree, or use generic if you don't have one near you. They don't have to be fancy, just cheap!

This is a treat that my mom made nearly every Halloween when I was a child, and I always loved them. They don't take much time or money, the kids can help and they truly are just a fun way to add a little spook to your holiday festivities!!

What other fun ideas do you have to make inexpensive treats more fun for Halloween!?
