My son- like so many other kids across the country- returned to school this week! Gone are those lazy days of summer. Now we are back to early mornings, off to school, afternoon homework and after school activities. With our evening now busier than ever, I find myself on the search for new dinner ideas. I need recipes that are quick. I need recipes that are easy. I need recipes with minimal ingredients. I need recipes that are budget friendly. And most importantly, I need recipes that are delicious. Sounds like a lot to ask for, right?

Thankfully with Walmart and the Campbell's brand, I can get it all. So I took a little trip to my local store to stock up.

For us, that meant Prego Italian Sauce! This delicious sauce is rooted in Italian American heritage and offers a delicious homemade taste that is the perfect balance of sweet and savory Italian flavor. It's a simple staple that every home cook can incorporate into a variety of delicious recipes to please the whole family! Of course one of the easiest and quickest meals any family can make is a great spaghetti, and honestly who doesn't love a good spaghetti with Prego Italian Sauce. I know I do... but you can only make that so many times before you need to mix it up! So, today I'm sharing with you one of my personal favorite go tos for my family on those busy weeknights.---

Stuffed Italian Bread

  • Loaf Italian Bread from Bakery
  • 1-2 pounds Ground Beef
  • Prego Italian Sauce of Choice
  • Mozzarella and/or Provolone Cheese

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Take your Italian Bread and cut it in half. Scoop out the center of the bread, top and bottom. Set aside.
  3. Brown your ground beef. Drain.
  4. Add Prego to the ground beef, heat.
  5. Fill the hollowed out bread bottom with the beef mixture.
  6. Top with cheese slices & cover with the top half of the bread.
  7. Bake 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bread is slightly crispy.
  8. Serve with fresh vegetables and enjoy!

This recipe is super simple and only 4 ingredients...you truly cannot beat that! Of course, this is keeping it to the very basics, but you can have fun with it. Add some Parmesan, chop some green peppers or spinach to add to the mix for added veggies. Have fun with it.

This my be one of our go to meals, but it's certainly not the only. Another quick weeknight favorite (especially when cooler weather rolls around)? A good ol' Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup with grilled cheese! Who doesn't love chicken noodle soup, right? It tastes great and nourishes the entire family. Most importantly, it's quick and easy.... an effortless option the whole family can enjoy! It's no wonder it's a pantry staple for back to school along with Prego.
