Okay ladies, I must confess I have a serious problem...

CLUTTER!

As I type this I can look around and see it all over. Mostly the in form of TOYS! I'm not going to lie, it can get a little overwhelming. Every time I think that I'm going to finally bite the bullet and get it taken care of, I find myself just staring at it and wondering...where on earth do I begin? And with that clutter comes the stress. Clutter is no good!

Does this sound like you too? If so, I have JUST the book for you: Unstuffed: Decluttering Your Home, Mind, and Soul by Ruth Soukup-

STUFF.
It's everywhere.  Lurking in corners and closets, spilling onto counters and coffee tables, creating havoc everywhere we look.  And it's not just the physical clutter that weighs us down.  Oh no, it is the stress of overbooked schedule, and the weight of a life that sometimes feels oppressive and totally out of whack.

New York Times bestselling author Ruth Soukup feels your pain--she has been there too. Through personal stories, Biblical truth, and practical action plans, she will inspire and empower each of us to finally declutter not just our home, but our mind and soul as well. Unstuffed is real, honest, and gets right down to the question we are all facing--how can we take back our lives from the stuff that is weighing us down?

In this book we will:

  • Create a comprehensive vision for our homes, and make instant changes to improve its overall function.
  • Discover that more closet space is not the solution, and instead learn how to set strict limits for the stuff we bring in
  • Overcome the frustration of dealing with our kids' influx of stuff and implement practical solutions for keeping the chaos at bay.
  • Recognize the pitfalls of an overstuffed schedule BEFORE it gets out of hand, and instead learn to combat the culture of busy that keeps us running from one thing to the next.
  • Finally conquer that mountain of paperwork that threatens to tumble down around us at any moment.
  • Let go of the guilt that gets attached to gifts and instead learn to separate our loved ones from their stuff.
  • Begin to cultivate our real friendships while eliminating the toxic relationships that weigh us down.
Sounds like an awesome read, doesn't it?

For me, it was a MUST read! Like I said, the clutter in my home just has a way of taking over my life. And I do mean life, because it's not just the home. When you have clutter, you find yourself worrying more about said clutter. Add that in to everything else that we all have to do in our everyday busy lives, it truly is very easy to get overwhelmed.

But what I loved most about this book is that it wasn't JUST a book about decluttering your home, but really covered every area of our lives that could use a little decluttering. First up is the home, offering great ideas to decrease the clutter and get your home back on track. I certainly need that part! Next came the mind covering topics that tend to clutter our minds like schedules and guilt and paperwork. I don't know about you, but these things tend to overwhelm me just as much-if not more than physical clutter. Finally we come to soul with topics of friendship, wellness and spirit. This book truly does cover all of the ways that our lives get filled with clutter and offers practical ideas to help us fight it!

If you need a little decluttering in your life, this is a book worth checking out. It is available to purchase now at your favorite Christian book retailer.
